ST. LOUIS (AP) — Attorney General Eric Holder sought Wednesday to reassure the people of Ferguson about the investigation into Michael Brown's death and said he understands why many black Americans do not trust police, recalling how he was repeatedly stopped by officers who seemed to target him because of his race.
Holder made the remarks during a visit to the St. Louis suburb that has been wracked by more than a week of unrest since the black 18-year-old was shot and killed by a white officer.

The attorney general remembered how he was stopped twice on the New Jersey Turnpike and accused of speeding. Police searched his car, going through the trunk and looking under the seats.
"I remember how humiliating that was and how angry I was and the impact it had on me," Holder said during a private meeting with about 50 community leaders at the Florissant campus of St. Louis Community College.

Gee maybe Eric Holder should recuse himself from anything having to do with the police.

    Beaten to Death at McDonald’s

August 20, 2014 by David Paulin 294 Comments

David Paulin, an Austin, TX-based freelance journalist, covered Hugo Chavez's rise to power while based in Caracas as a foreign correspondent. He also reported from the Caribbean while based in Kingston, Jamaica.

It had seemed to the four clean-cut college freshman that night like a typical McDonald’s: spanking clean, well-lighted, and safe. It was in a good neighborhood too, right next to Texas A&M University in College Station – a campus known for its friendly atmosphere and official down-home greeting: “howdy”
Out on a double date, the two couples pulled into the parking lot of so-called “University McDonald’s” shortly after 2 a.m. that Sunday – and beheld a scene unlike anything portrayed in all those wholesome McDonald’s television commercials. Before them, hundreds of young black males were loitering about, some without shirts.

Other local residents — the more cynical and world-weary, both whites and most blacks — would have taken one look at the crowd and driven off, dismissing many of the young and posturing black males as thugs. But not them: innocent white kids from the suburbs. They presumed this was post-racial America — and that they were in an easy-going college town.
Twenty minutes later, two of them were dead.
Incredibly, the race of the assailants was scrubbed from local news coverage; and utterly missing from tersely written wire-service stories about a Brazos County jury’s whopping $27 million negligence verdict on July 30 against “University McDonald’s” – an outlet owned by the Oak Brook, Illinois-based fast-food giant. What the media considered unmentionable nevertheless loomed over a riveting seven-day trial, which came amid the growing phenomenon of black-on-white violence — unprovoked attacks on whites and black mob violence like the so-called “knock-out game.”
Chris Hamilton, lead lawyer of the small Dallas firm that humbled the corporate giant, was asked, during a phone interview, how many reporters had even bothered to inquire about the race of the assailants during the many interviews he gave.
“You’re the only one,” he replied.
Race, of course, was irrelevant to the high-stakes negligence trial that revolved around McDonald’s lack of on-site security and corporate responsibility. Yet shortly before the trial, Hamilton hinted at the issue of race – suggesting that two very different worlds were colliding at University McDonald’s during its after-midnight hours – a mix that was potentially volatile. The trial, he told a local television reporter, was not only about seeking justice for his clients — but about the public’s need “to know what’s really going on at McDonald’s: what the risks are; what the dangers are of sending your kids there, particularly after midnight.”
His extensive pretrial investigation – numerous depositions, pathology reports, and an in-depth analysis of police records – told a story that was heartbreaking and infuriating, and that until the trial had remained largely out of pubic view as the case was handled by College Station Police, Brazos County District Attorney Jarvis Parsons, and an asleep-at-the-wheel news media.
Apart from legal arguments over alleged corporate negligence, the high-profile trial offered a shocking view of how a thuggish black subculture flourished at University McDonald’s. The blame could be laid squarely upon McDonald’s black managers, and on the failure of higher-ups in McDonald’s to ensure patrons, both black and white, were safe during late-night hours – an increasingly lucrative market for the fast-food giant.

    Beaten to Death
For the two young couples, the evening had started at a country-western concert at “Hurricane Harry’s” in College Station’s entertainment district; and afterward, just after 2 a.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2012 — a quick trip to nearby “University McDonald’s” as it’s widely known.
Parking his Toyota 4Runner, Denton James Ward, age 18, stepped down from the big SUV with Tanner Giesen, then 19 years old. The two friends from Flower Mound, an affluent Dallas suburb, headed to the McDonald’s bathroom; Ward wore his cowboy hat. The girls - Lauren Bailey Crisp and Samantha Bean, both 19 – took the SUV to the drive-through.
Both inside and out, University McDonald’s was bustling. But it definitely wasn’t the usual daytime crowd – clean-cut and mostly white “Aggies” as A&M’s students are known. Instead, up to 400 black males were loitering about the parking lot, a police officer later estimated. Inside, it was mostly a black crowd too: a large number of black males were loitering about, many without food. Some were shirtless.
This was the usual after-midnight crowd on Saturdays and Sundays at the 24-hour McDonald’s. And unbeknownst to the two couples – and many in College Station – this McDonald’s was a major late-night trouble spot.
Police were constantly responding to late-night fights, assaults, and disturbances among huge crowds that were mostly black – a problem one top police official called a “drain on resources.” Most of the reported incidents – some 200 in the three years preceding Ward and Crisp’s deaths – involved black-on-black violence by gang bangers and, according to one police officer, members of black college fraternities. One police report described an unidentified man’s head getting bashed against a curb. White patrons appeared to be especially susceptible and at risk – and when they were attacked, the blows were particularly vicious. The hours of 2-to-3 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays were especially volatile, with at least a dozen fights and assaults reported during those hours in the year preceding Ward and Crisp’s deaths.
For Ward and Giesen, the trouble started seconds after exiting McDonald’s front door. “You’re in the wrong neck of the woods, cowboys,” Giesen recalled a young black male saying.
Unwittingly, they’d blundered into a highly-charged situation. Shortly before they’d arrived, two black males had gotten into a loud argument inside the restaurant. A gun was brandished. But manager Lindsey Ives, a black woman, didn’t call the police. She told the men to take their dispute outside.
In an instant, a bloodthirsty mob was upon the college students.
A fist slammed into Giesen’s face. Ward tried to break-up the altercation, according to trial testimony. Instead, he suffered a brutal mob stomping lasting several minutes. Some 20 young black males closed in – mercilessly kicking and punching his head and body and even jumping on him, witnesses said. Giesen was knocked unconscious.
An athletic young man — 5-foot-6 and 163 pounds – Ward had a handsome face framed by a mop of rusty brown hair. But after the beating, one witness — a retired U.S. Marine and one of a few white customers – said Ward’s face was “really messed up”; was “broken” and “mushy” and “just did not look natural.”
Bean and Crisp, both 19, rounded the corner of the drive-through to see the mob stomping. The horrified and frightened young women jumped out of the SUV screaming for it to stop. Crisp, Ward’s girlfriend, even rushed into the melee, according to trial testimony. Blood poured from Ward’s face. Some nearby good-Samaritans, including a few black females, helped the frantic teens lift their dates into the 4Runner’s back seat; Ward was unable to speak or walk. Danisha Stern, a trial witness, then told them to “get out of there . . . it’s not safe.”
Immediately, the terrified girls took that advice – rather than waiting for police. Bean, Giesen’s date, took the wheel with Crisp occupying the front passenger seat. Speeding away, Bean made a frantic across-town dash for an emergency room. She worried somebody from the McDonald’s mob might follow and run her off the road.
Ward was drifting in and out of consciousness. Blood was everywhere. Fearing he was slipping away, Crisp frantically climbed into the back seat, kneeling on the floorboard to do what she could — pushing him back into his seat when he slumped forward. They had been dating three months. The girls were “freaking out,” Giesen recalled. “I remember lots of screaming and yelling going on.”
Then – about 10 minutes after speeding away from University McDonald’s – Bean ran a red light. The 4Runner was hit broadside by a Chevy Silverado pick-up — then spun violently and crashed into a light pole. Ward and Crisp were pronounced dead at the scene; Bean and the Silvarado’s five occupants were uninjured. Police initially thought Ward and Crisp had died in the crash, and they had considered charging Bean. But pathologists at the negligence trial, both for the plaintiffs and McDonald’s, agreed Ward was beaten to death – the fatal kicks and punches delivered to the lower back of his head and chin.
The mob at McDonald’s grew into a frenzy after the couples fled. A police officer arriving at the scene, five minutes later, grabbed his AR-15 rifle when he stepped out of his patrol car – fearing he was amid a full-blown riot. It was, he recalled, like “scenes that we have seen multiple times at that McDonald’s.”
Crisp, a dark-haired beauty from Dripping Springs, a suburb of Austin, wanted to be a nurse. She was a biology major at Blinn College as was Bean, a resident of College Station. Ward, also a student at the junior college, was set to transfer to Texas A&M the next year to study industrial engineering. He had an all-American background in high school: letters in football and baseball; Little League umpire; and a member of the Fellowship of Christian athletes. He and Crisp were from large families.
Giesen was briefly treated at an emergency room; his abdomen bore a boot print. He now suffers bouts of amnesia due to brain trauma.
In College Station, nobody dared to ask if a “hate crime” had possibly occurred. But Stern, the black good-Samaritan, testified that the black mob had piled on Ward in part because he was white; or as she explained: “He was trying to save his friend or stop the attacks…targeted at his friend. And he was a white male so I guess any — anything that was — anybody that was not helping the fight, like, adding to the injury or whatever, was seen as an opponent or something, you know.”
Police made only one arrest, charging Marcus Jamal Jones – known to friends as “Plucky” — in the mob attack. Without outdoor security cameras and uncooperative witnesses, it was no doubt hard to make a case. Last March, “Plucky” pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and served a 90-day jail sentence.
Minutes after the mob attack, the 6-foot-2 Plucky entered the McDonald’s without a shirt. “We was fight’en,” he was heard to say. Earlier in the evening, he’d said he was looking for a fight, witnesses reported.
    Playing the race card
It was Plucky who introduced the word “nigg-r” into the case. After his arrest, he told police that seconds before Ward and Giesen were attacked, somebody had said “nigg-r.” But he admitted he didn’t know who’d uttered the epithet – or even if the person was black or white. During the trial, he changed his story, claiming Giesen had uttered the epithet. But Giesen denied using a racial slur and identified Plucky as the person who remarked, “You’re in the wrong neck of the woods, cowboys.”
Interestingly, Plucky got a job with a McDonald’s supplier, Mid-South Baking Company in Byran, Texas, three months before the trial — and before his epiphany that Giesen was the person who’d said “nigg-r.”
Why was University McDonald’s so popular among black gang bangers and black fraternity members? Carlos Butler, the outlet’s black general manager, could take credit for that. An aspiring hip-hop artist, he hosted large hip-hop concerts attracting some 1,500 people — and after those events many of the black hip-hoppers headed to University McDonald’s.
Interestingly, Butler told a police detective he always had “a lot of security” at his hip-hop events.
Yet at University McDonald’s, Butler had no off-duty police officer providing security — even on nights that the hip-hop and gangsta crowd showed up in large numbers.
Cost for an off-duty cop – a mere $100. Police had told Butler such a late-night security measure, in use at other nearby 24-hour outlets, could stop trouble before it started.
The all-white jury — eight women and four men – took only four hours to render their $27 million judgment: $16 million for Ward’s parents; $11 million for Crisp’s.
According to a recent article in The Eagle, a daily paper in College Station, the problems at University McDonald’s persist. Lawyers for McDonald’s have vowed to appeal. They are sticking to their argument that poor choices made by the two couples – namely their underage drinking and Bean’s reckless driving – were responsible for Ward and Bean’s deaths. McDonald’s definitely took the negligence case seriously, though. During opening arguments, it had 12 lawyers at the defense table. Hamilton handled the contingency-fee case with two associates – nearly 40 percent of the legal talent in a firm of eight lawyers. “They tried to bury us in paperwork and money,” he remarked.
Parents and relatives of Ward and Crisp attended the trial, but on Hamilton’s advice sat outside the courtroom except when testifying about how the deaths of their children had affected them. They are not giving interviews. Hamilton, however, said they felt vindicated that the jury had rejected the blame-the-victim strategy of McDonald’s lawyers. Marshall Rosenberg, lead lawyer for McDonald’s, did not respond to an e-mail seeking comment.
The media’s handling of this case was no surprise: political correctness rules in America’s newsrooms. But imagine a hypothetical crime: two clean-cut black couples go into University McDonald’s during the daytime – and are viciously attacked by a mob of whites. An international media circus would erupt! Big-time journalist from all over the world would descend on College Station to deal with the deplorable state of America’s race relations caused by bigoted whites. President Obama would weigh in with a few comments about America’s racial sins; and Attorney General Eric Holder – just like with the Ferguson disturbances – would travel to College Station, where Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would be leading protest marches.
But the narrative they’re promoting is false.
It obscures where most of the hate is coming from. Crime statistics have long reveled the real problem: high levels of black-on-black violence, followed by black-on-white violence and mob attacks — and the latter has been on the increase at an alarming rate, underscoring deep pathologies in a growing black-thug subculture — even as liberals in the mainstream media and Washington are unwilling to acknowledge this fact.

‘Doctor’ Hired by Mike Brown’s Family to Help Perform Autopsy is a Fraud

in News, Opinion / by Sean Brown / on August 20, 2014 at 1:07 pm /
One of the medical examiners hired by the Brown family’s attorney to perform an independent autopsy on the slain teen is apparently not who he claims to be.
According to Fox4, the prefix of “Dr.” in front of Shawn Parcells’ name is actually a pseudonym, and he doesn’t hold a medical degree of any type. Parcells is actually the owner of a for-hire autopsy company that operates out of Kansas City named National Forensic Autopsy and Recovery Services, and he says that the lawyers for Brown’s family contacted him because of his “expertise” in gunshot wounds.
Parcells claims to be qualified to work in his field and gained experience working with a previous medical examiner.
“I am a forensic pathologist assistant and medical investigator,” he told the news affiliate.
But according to Dr. Erik Mitchell, Parcells’ claims are fishy and misleading.
“That is a degree that does not exist in my knowledge, except in the mind of Shawn Parcells,” Dr. Mitchell said.

    [Parcells explaining the bullet trajectory]

Dr. Mitchell also takes issue with the title Parcells’ gave himself, explaining that since the position is licensable someone can’t just simply make the claim to it.“You can assist somebody; in this way I can say, for instance, I have paid my taxes, so I am an assistant President of the United States,” he said.
However, Parcells says that he’s qualified from experience, even though he admits to not having a certification as a pathology assistant. He claims to have worked as a forensic assistant to former Jackson County Medical Examiner, Dr. Thomas Young, for a year between 2005 and 2006.
“And that’s honestly where I gained a lot of my experience,” Parcells said, but it doesn’t seem to add up either.
Parcells claims to have started training in 1997 as an intern with Dr. Young, then he was rehired in the mid-2000’s. However, Dr. Young doesn’t exactly agree with Parcells and released a statement regarding his work with him:
“Shawn hung out at the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s office but was not trained by me.”…. “He has been representing himself in a way that is not appropriate by giving forensic pathology opinions when he is not qualified to do so.”
Dr. Mitchell seems to agree with Dr. Young, and said that his experience isn’t in the field he claims to be an expert in.
“He has none of the qualifications that are required. He has experience as a morgue technician, somebody who would move bodies around, clean up after an autopsy,” he said.
Parcells says that the attorneys for Browns family are only covering his travel and lodging expenses, but that he’s providing his services free of charge.

[Parcells explaining that Brown may have had his hands in the air]

On Monday, while explaining the autopsy reports to a group of people, Parcells said that the manner in which the bullet grazed Michael Brown’s arm could have meant he was facing the shooter with his arms in the air or that he had his back to the shooter, which is in contrast to what multiple other experts who have reviewed the results have said and there’s been nothing else to corroborate this theory. However Parcells did say after that “We still have to look at the other (elements) of this investigation before we start piecing things together.”It should be noted that the highly respected Dr. Michael Baden did not enlist the help of Parcells. The attorneys for the Brown family contacted him on their own accord and paid to have him come to Ferguson to assist Dr. Baden.

The Mysterious Mike Brown Autopsy – And How The Parks and Crump “Scheme Team” Used Their New York Times Cohort Frances Robles To Sell The Lie…

Posted on August 19, 2014 by sundance
Major Hat Tip to Treeper Nivico who finds the familiar pattern and connects the dots.

The Brown Family attorney’s Benjamin Crump and Daryl Parks are now claiming Mike Brown was “executed” by Officer Wilson to CNN:
(Via CNN) We are getting a new description of the shooting of Michael Brown from a woman calling herself “Josie” and claiming to be a friend of the police officer who fired the fatal shots. She describes Brown pushing officer Darren Wilson and punching him in the face. That contradicts the account given by Michael Brown’s friend Dorian Johnson, who was with him at the time and witnessed the shooting.
Attorney Benjamin Crump is representing the Brown family. He spoke to Anderson and described the shooting as an execution. (link)
To support their “execution” claim, they are pointing to “their autopsy” given to the New York Times.

You’ve seen the story of the Mike Brown family autopsy, and the grand press conference they produced to deliver it to the public. But a closer look points out why the Scheme Team actually used New York Times Frances Robles to deliver the ruse:

FERGUSON, Mo. — Michael Brown, the unarmed black teenager who was killed by a police officer, sparking protests around the nation, was shot at least six times, including twice in the head, a preliminary private autopsy performed on Sunday found.
One of the bullets entered the top of Mr. Brown’s skull, suggesting his head was bent forward when it struck him and caused a fatal injury, according to Dr. Michael M. Baden, the former chief medical examiner for the City of New York, who flew to Missouri on Sunday at the family’s request to conduct the separate autopsy. It was likely the last of bullets to hit him, he said.
[...] Prof. Shawn L. Parcells, a pathologist assistant based in Kansas, assisted Dr. Baden.
“You do this for the families,” Mr. Parcells said.
The two medical experts conducted the four-hour examination Sunday at the Austin A. Layne Mortuary in St. Louis. Benjamin L. Crump, a lawyer for Mr. Brown’s family who paid their travel expenses, hired them. (link)
Reading this article by Frances Robles would give you the impression Dr. Michael M. Baden actually “conducted” the autopsy on 8/17/14.
Alas a review of the timeline shows a divergent reality. The Scheme Team are up to their old tricks.

    1) Wed Aug 13 – Professor Parcells was contacted by attorney’ Benjamin Crump and Gray (allegedly just to assist Baden). Parcells was on MSNBC’s The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell last night and stated he was contacted by attorneys Crump and Gray on Wednesday 8/13.

    2) Fri Aug 15 – Daryl Parks gave a press conference sharing his disgust the Ferguson Police had release the strong arm robbery footage. During the presser he told the media that their 2nd independent autopsy had already been performed (citation link)

Knowing they were going to bring in Dr. Baden, that’s why when questioned about the second autopsy Parks said:
…”it’s done, and we’ll talk about that later, we’re not answering any questions about the 2nd autopsy at this time; we will -in time- do that”….
    3) Sun Aug 17 – According to the NYT Dr. Baden was flown in.

If Parcells was just supposed to be assisting Baden, why was Parks stating that the autopsy had already been performed two days before Baden was even flown in?
The actual truth appears to be – a rather controversial person Shawn Parcells, who is NOT a forensic pathologist, was used by the Scheme Team to conduct an autopsy – and then Professor Baden was brought in AFTER to meet with Parcells and give his OPINION of it.
In essence lend his credibility toward it.
Shawn Parcells is not a pathologist, he is a voice for hire. Here’s some articles on the lack of credentials for Parcells and the concerns therein:
“[...] some coroners and medical examiners in Missouri say Parcells has inflated his qualifications and performed autopsies without a medical license. Others allege that doctors whose signatures were on some autopsy reports were not present at the autopsies, did not review the work or never actually signed the documents.”
“Police in Andrew County are looking into allegations that a pathologist Parcells listed on a 2012 autopsy was never consulted.”
“Shramek said he became alarmed when Parcells asked what to put down as the cause of death on an autopsy report instead of following the evidence.”
“Others, such as Dr. Mary Case, the medical examiner for St. Louis, St. Charles, Franklin and Jefferson counties, have been outspoken about the allegations against Parcells.

“It’s very bad for our state if there’s someone doing autopsies without a medical license,” she said. “This is a huge atrocity, an invitation to disaster, and it needs to stop.” (link)

More HERE, and HERE, and HERE

The bottom line is that Dr. Michael M. Baden never performed an autopsy on Mike Brown. Instead he signed off on an opinion of a forensic examination completed by a controversial Forensic Pathologist Assistant, who did an evaluation of Mike Brown’s body at the request of the Scheme Team.
Dr. Baden was flown in later to review the findings of the Forensic Pathologist Assistant, Shawn Parcells, and give it credibility in the eyes of a non-questioning media.
The Scheme Team then took Dr. Baden’s evaluation of the Shawn Parcell review, and handed it off to their New York Times friend and cohort, Frances Robles. Selling it as if Dr. Baden had actually conducted the physical exam himself.
Frances worked with the Scheme Team in 2012 (2012 bio below) while she was at the Miami Herald and was part of their inner circle of media types willing to sell the Trayvon Story. The Trayvon Martin Story was also full of similarly false and manufactured media evidence.

The goal of the Scheme Team for the Mike Brown narrative is to emphasize how many times Mike Brown was shot and to outline a scenario where Mike Brown was shot “execution style” in the top of his head.
Knowing their pattern of media evidence the instructions to Ms. Robles were to emphasize the number of shots and head wounds. In exchange for the “exclusive” she was more than happy to oblige:

This is how the Daryl Parks and Benjamin Crump Scheme Team operate. However, because we know what to look for, we are able to catch them in their shenanigans and manipulations. Good catch Nivico….
*ADD* We have contacted the New York Times and await their response.

Additionally, in the New York Times article today from Ms. Robles you’ll note she is in Ferguson Missouri; no doubt back into the relationship with Parks and Crump as a willing recipient to their “exclusive” releases. Keep an eye on her reporting.

The media is often quick to judge, paint a story of racial hatred, ignore facts and create a frenzy.
The true story of what happened is Ferguson is only just starting to come out and the facts could paint a very different story. Stay tuned.

APD Officer shoots Robert Garcia Sr.

    Video at the page link:

Officer Peter Romero shot 64-year-old Robert Garcia Sr. once in the torso after Garcia pointed what police later learned was a pellet gun at Romero during an early-morning DUI stop, according to police. Robert Garcia, Sr., 64, had a note tucked into his wallet that said “Thank you officer” when he approached APD officer Peter Romero during the traffic stop at Montgomery and Washington on Nov. 15, 2013. Garcia had been pulled over on suspicion of drunken driving when he walked toward Romero pointing a pellet gun that resembled a real handgun, police said. Romero told Garcia to drop the weapon at up to nine times, to which Garcia did not respond, according to police. Garcia was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after he was shot once in the abdomen, and was released and booked into jail on Dec. 2, 2013, on charges of aggravated assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon. Police said Garcia later apologized to Romero.

It’s important to remember that, in police shooting cases like the one in Ferguson, Missouri, the initial facts are often wrong. You don’t want to end up looking like Rich Lowry, National Review editor, whose March 23, 2012, column on the Trayvon Martin shooting was titled, “Al Sharpton Is Right.”
Early accounts are especially unreliable when reporters think they have a white racism story. Stirring up racial hatred is how journalists make up for sending their own kids to lily-white private schools.

As detailed in my book Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama, the old media’s standard for any police shooting of a black person is: “Racist until proved innocent.” We got three-alarm racism stories for the shootings of Jose (Kiko) Garcia, Eleanor Bumpurs, Michael Stewart and Edmund Perry.
And then it turned out Garcia was a drugged-up coke dealer who pulled a gun on the cop, Bumpurs was a psychotic who came at the cops with a machete, Stewart fought the cops so violently he gave himself a heart attack, and Perry mugged an undercover cop.
Witness statements aren’t always 100 percent accurate. In Garcia’s case, innumerable neighbors gave the media florid accounts of Officer Michael O’Keefe beating and kicking Garcia, before repeatedly shooting the unarmed man in the back as he lay facedown on the floor. The Garcia family lawyer assured The New York Times that “this kid never was arrested; he wasn’t a drug dealer.”
It later turned out that Garcia was a convicted felon.
He had a gun the night of the shooting.
The autopsy proved he was not shot in the back, nor was he beaten.
The only eyewitnesses against Officer O’Keefe were drug dealers — for whom Garcia worked — who could not possibly have seen anything from their vantage point, as confirmed with a laser pointer used by the Garcia family lawyer.
The first headlines in the Edmund Perry case were:
The New York Post: “COP KILLS HARLEM HONOR STUDENT”
The New York Times: “HONOR STUDENT, 17, IS KILLED BY POLICEMAN ON WEST SIDE.”
The Los Angeles Times: “SAYS VICTIM ATTACKED HIM, MOTHER CHARGES RACISM: OFFICER KILLS TOP STUDENT, SETS OFF FUROR.”
Two dozen witnesses — many of them black — established that Perry had mugged the cop and was stomping on him when the officer shot him. Those witnesses were the heroes, not elite news anchors, who leave their doorman buildings to rail against “racism” from well-guarded studios or brief reporting forays to black neighborhoods.
Follow-up stories admitting that some sensational racist crime turned out to be false are never a high priority with the press.
After all the media’s hysteria about the Kiko Garcia shooting (New York Newsday: “COP SHOOTING VICTIM: HE WAS SHOT IN THE BACK”) the story just faded away.
That incident provoked riots that resulted in one person dead, 90 injured, 53 policemen hospitalized, 121 vehicles torched, 11 police cars damaged, and dozens of businesses burned or looted. But when the early accounts turned out to be lies, the media whispered the ending and tiptoed out of the room, as if reading a bedtime story to a child.
The old media just love creating huge racist hoaxes — which has done so much to improve the lives of ordinary black people!
Luckily for America, especially African-Americans, the advent of alternative media has reduced the Non-Fox Media’s ability to stir up urban riots. Today, it’s possible to get information that never would have seen the light of day in the 1980s.
In less than two weeks, the original version of the racist police execution of Michael Brown — or “Big Mike” — has already undergone major revisions. We were told:
    – Big Mike was the sweetest kid, he’d never hurt a flea.
Then we got the store surveillance video of him robbing a liquor store and manhandling the clerk. Perhaps Big Mike committed his first-ever crime 11 minutes before his encounter with Officer Darren Wilson, but it doesn’t look good.
    – He was shot in the back.
At least two autopsies now establish Big Mike was not shot in the back.
    – He didn’t touch the police officer.
This week, we saw the X-ray of Officer Wilson’s fractured eye socket.
    – He was holding his arms up surrendering when Officer Wilson shot him.
That’s at least in doubt now that a video of a Big Mike supporter has emerged, capturing the private conversation of an eyewitness confirming the officer’s claim that Big Mike was running at him.
On the tape, one black man tells another:
“Him and the police was both in the truck, then he ran — the police got out and ran after him … Then the next thing I know he comes back toward the truck ’cause — the police had his gun drawn already on him. The police kept dumping on him, and I’m thinking that the police missing … but he kept coming toward him.”
Some would say a private conversation, unintentionally recorded immediately after an event, is more credible than alleged eyewitness accounts by people who know they’re talking to the press.
But if MSNBC can spend six months on a bridge closure in Fort Lee, New Jersey, they can probably do at least a year on a police shooting in Ferguson, Missouri.
