Oklahoma and South Carolina Immigration Bills Move Forward

Oklahoma and South Carolina Immigration Bills Move Forward Thursday,

    March 10, 2011, 4:13 PM EST

On Thursday, the Oklahoma House of Representatives and the South Carolina Senate voted in favor of legislation modeled on Arizona's immigration enforcement law, SB 1070.
Oklahoma's legislation, HB 1446, passed by a vote of 85-7, even though some Representatives felt the legislation didn't go far enough in targeting the employers of illegal aliens. The legislation would ban state and local governments from instituting sanctuary policies, prohibit illegal aliens from seeking work, make it a crime to pick up illegal aliens for the purpose of employing them, and prohibit illegal aliens from paying in-state tuition rates at public colleges. The legislation now goes to the Oklahoma Senate.
South Carolina's legislation, S 20, would allow police officers to check the immigration status of anyone they arrest or pull over for a traffic stop. On Wednesday, the Senate added language to the bill making it a crime to produce or sell picture IDs to illegal aliens. The legislation now goes to the South Carolina House of Representatives.

Janet Napolitano and Eric Holder will get right on this. Is Hillary able to comment from overseas yet?

    this is great news.

Oklahoma already has 1804 that went into effect while bush was in office.
hence the reason they were never sued by this racist administration in office now
