Subject: Earth Day & White House Amnesty Rally

EARTH DAY Hall of Shame ---- and report from White House anti-amnesty rally today

DEAR FRIENDS OF AMERICA, FRIENDS OF PURPLE MOUNTAINS' MAJESTY, FRIENDS OF CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL, AND OF ALL THE NATURAL HABITAT THAT SUSTAINS THEM,

I spent the afternoon at Lafayette Park across from the White House at one of the best rallies ever for sensible immigration policies.

D.A. King and the Dustin Inman Society sponsored the rally as the kickoff to the big Hold Their Feet to the Fire week of lobbying and talk radio hosts gathered here in D.C.

I was pleased to be one of the speakers as open-borders groups with bull-horns tried to drown us out (and would have if not for horse-mounted Park Police keeping them 30 or 40 yards away).

I do not believe any group of people rallying for the environment on this Earth Day is committed to a more important environmental goal than those at the Immigration-Reduction Rally at Lafayette Park.

When Sen. Gaylord Nelson (Wisconsin Democrat and a great friend of NumbersUSA) instituted the first Earth Day events in 1970, the United States had just over 200 million people.

Sen. Nelson and many original Earth Day leaders called on the nation to stabilize its population as soon as possible so we could meet our environmental goals with as little cost in money and regulations on the American people as possible.

But largely because of quadrupled immigration, we marked Earth Day 2007 with more than 300 million people crowded into our communities and sprawled over an ever-shrinking natural landscape. Under current immigration policies, we will add 30 million more every decade!!!!

NumbersUSA's studies of government data indicate that federal immigration policies are responsible for the clearing, scraping, paving and development of around 1 million acres of natural habitat and farmland EACH YEAR!!!!

THE EARTH DAY HALL OF SHAME is filled with Members of Congress who have kept those immigration policies in place that are responsible for so much environmental destruction in this country.

Look below to see if your U.S. Senators and U.S. Representative are on this anti-environment list.

I hope you will phone the office of the Hall of Shame Members from your state and tell them that Earth Day just made you more ashamed of their immigration voting record which is responsible for so much environmental damage.

But first, let me say a few more words about the White House anti-amnesty rally today.

I wish you could have been there. It was so inspirational to meet and talk with good, solid citizens like yourself from every type of American community.

I had particularly good conversations with citizens from Brooklyn, Queens and New Jersey who just spontaneously used the internet to find each other -- kindred spirits in saving the country from out-of-control immigration.

There were so many more young adults today than I've seen at rallies in the past. A good sign.

Thank you to the NumbersUSA activists who sought me out in the crowd and told me their stories of local activism -- activists from Nevada and Nebraska, from Massachusetts and Michigan, from North Carolina and New Jersey, and from Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, California, Tennessee, Arizona, Georgia, Florida and Illinois. I may have just forgotten some others. All those people who traveled so far to make a difference here in Washington this week.

I know when I hear these personal stories that each one is multiplied hundreds or times within our NumbersUSA network.

All of you who didn't make the trip: Please support the ones who did come. Make sure that the offices they visit this week are being inundated with your phone calls and faxes.

Make sure you have taken all the actions with which you agree on your personal Action Buffet corkboard at:

Our NumbersUSA media coordinator Caroline Espinosa and myself will be doing radio shows all day Monday and Tuesday from the Radio Row where three dozen talk radio hosts will be broadcasting live near the Capitol.

EARTH DAY
HALL OF SHAME

MEMBERS OF CONGRESS WHO CONSISTENTLY ACT TO FORCE MASSIVE IMMIGRATION-DRIVEN POPULATION GROWTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESTRUCTION

The grades below are for these Members' overall votes and co-sponsorships over their career in Congress. Some of them have been making anti-environmental immigration decisions for 10-20 years. Others have just joined Congress and immediately began acting against America's natural resources by acting for massive immigration-caused U.S. population growth.

Find the local office numbers for these anti-environmentalists who are your Members at:
www.numbersusa.com/myMembers

The Capitol Switchboard is:
202-224-3121

Now, some of these Members are listed by the League of Conservation Voters as nearly always voting to protect the environment. But the League does not consider any votes that would cause environmental destruction through population growth.

No matter how much money or how much regulation these Members may throw at solving environmental problems, they can't achieve environmental goals ultimately unless they stop using immigration to force huge population growth.

Right now there are 100 million more people placing huge demands on the American environment, primarily because of congressional immigration policies supported by the people on this list.
