Booz Allen, Snowden's employer, calls leak admission 'shocking,' vows to work with authorities

WASHINGTON – The employer of a 29-year-old man who says he is behind the leaks of sensitive National Security Agency programs is calling the disclosure "shocking" and is pledging to work with authorities.
Consulting giant Booz Allen on Sunday confirmed Edward Snowden is an employee assigned to a team in Hawaii. The firm says Snowden has been working there less than three months.
The Guardian identified Snowden as a source for its reports on intelligence programs after he asked the newspaper to do so. The Washington Post also identified Snowden as a source for its reporting.
The Guardian says Snowden is a former CIA covert employee and has been an NSA contract employee for four years.

Hawaii Real Estate Agent: Snowden Left on May 1

WAIPAHU, Hawaii June 10, 2013 (AP)

A Hawaii real estate agent says Edward Snowden and his girlfriend moved out of their home in a quiet neighborhood near Honolulu on May 1, leaving nothing behind.
Century 21 real estate agent Kerri Jo Heim says Sunday that the owner of the house wanted the couple out so that the home could be sold.


Heim says police came by on Wednesday to ask where the couple went. She told them she didn't know.
Snowden is a 29-year-old contractor who says he's the source behind reports about the U.S. government's secret surveillance programs. The Guardian newspaper reported Sunday that he was working in a National Security Agency office in Hawaii. He left for Hong Kong on May 20 and has remained there since.
Carolyn Tijing, who lived across the street from Snowden, says the couple had moving boxes lining their garage from floor to ceiling before leaving the neighborhood suddenly.
