FBI Director "Concerned" About Syrian Refugees Resettling on U.S. Soil

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is apprehensive about the State Department’s plan to resettle thousands of Syrian refugees in the United States. FBI Assistant Director Michael Steinbach said Wednesday that those seeking a new home would have to be thoroughly vetted before relocating to U.S. soil.
“I’m concerned,” Steinbach said under oath at a hearing of the House Committee on Homeland Security. “We’ll have to take a look at those lists and go through all the intelligence holdings and be very careful to try to identify connections to terrorist groups.”

The comment came in response to a direct question from the Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX), probing whether the refugees could possibly be a threat to American lives.

“The barbarians are at the gate,” McCaul said at the hearing. “We want to keep them outside the gate of the United States. I’m concerned that some are already returned.”

Reports released earlier this week indicate that thousands of individuals from western nations are streaming to the middle east to connect with extremist forces, and still possess western passports to return undetected to their home countries to potentially launch lone wolf attacks.
“I think this would be a huge mistake if we bring these refugees into the United States that could potentially be radicalized,” McCaul said at the hearing. “This would be a federally sanctioned welcome party to potential terrorists in the United States.”
Nicholas Rasmussen, Director of Homeland Security National Counterterrorism Center, explained in his testimony that it is possible that there are far more operatives from Western nations that have travelled to conflict zones than U.S. intelligence agencies are aware.

“We estimate upwards of 150 Americans have traveled or attempted to travel to Syria to join extremist groups,” Steinbach testified. “However, once in Syria, it is very difficult to discern what happens there. This lack of clarity remains troubling to the IC.”

“The rate of foreign fighter travel to Syria is unprecedented,” Rasmussen added. “It exceeds the rate of travelers who went to Afghanistan and Pakistan, Iraq, Yemen, or Somalia at any point in the last 20 years.”

Republicans, you must pass a 10 year moratorium on all new immigration and shut down both the DHS and the State Department bureaus, divisions, sections or units that process immigrants into the United States whether for asylum, amnesty, green cards, visas, guest worker permits, work authorization or any other type of activity or purpose.

You can't fix the plumbing with the water still on. It's just common sense. Our country is under attack by the actions of our own government. It's your imperative responsibility to shut it down, and do so now. Every terrorist act in the US was committed by someone the government allowed into the country. Every new job gained in the US went to either an illegal alien or immigrant. Almost 60% of all immigrants are on welfare, 71% of illegal aliens are on welfare. What more do you need to know to compel you to do your jobs and protect our citizens?

We're paying people to colonize us, when we don't even need them

Workforce participation is down, wages are stagnant, and even our STEM graduates are having difficulty getting jobs in their fields.

At same time, phony refugee claims are becoming routine and birth tourism is a thriving industry.

Let's face it, foreigners are treating us with contempt, because in their eyes we are contemptible weaklings.

We should of course help others when we can. The mechanism for doing that already exists. It's called "foreign aid."

Yes, and there's too much of "foreign aid" being spread around and generally wasted around the world by our government as well. When the US government is already $18 trillion in debt, there is no money to pay for aid to spread around the world.

No doubt about it, foreign countries are laughing at US all the way to the bank. It's a disgrace and the most pathetic display of government corruption and incompetence in the history of the world. What other country goes to the bank to borrow money it doesn't have and can't possibly repay to hand out to foreign countries? That's like a homeless person going to a fast cash place and somehow taking out a loan, then giving it to the Catholic Church to fund the Pope's big shot travel budget.
