Monica Crowley, the online opinion editor at The Washington Times, has been tapped to be senior communications strategist for national security in the new Trump White House, the transition team announced Thursday.

Ms. Crowley, who is also a Fox News analyst and hosts a syndicated radio show, has an extensive history in conservative foreign policy circles, was a Trump advocate during the general election campaign and has been a fierce critic of Obama administration policies.

In the White House, she will report to retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, whom President-elect Donald Trump has named his National Security Adviser.

The Trump team also named retired Lt. Gen Keith Kellogg as chief of staff to the security adviser.

“These are two exceptional individuals who have agreed to fulfill the president-elect’s pledge of putting America first once again,” Mr. Flynn said in a statement.

I think Monica Crowley will be loyal and be an asset as she serves under Lt. General Mike Flynn.
