Jeb Bush announced that he is suspending his presidential campaign following a disappointing finish in the South Carolina primary.

"The people of Iowa and New Hampshire and South Carolina have spoken, and I really respect their decision," Bush said in South Carolina tonight. "So tonight I am suspending my campaign."

Bush launched his presidential bid last June in a quest to become the third member of his family in the White House. But throughout his campaign he faced questions about how he was different from the two other presidents named Bush -- his father and brother.

Former President George W. Bush made his first public campaign appearance for Bush in South Carolina on Monday.

"I congratulate my competitors that are remaining on the island, on their success for a race that has been hard-fought," Bush said in brief but emotional remarks. "Just as the contest for the presidency should be, because it is a tough job."

Most of Bush's support will no doubt got to Rubio. Not a good thing.

I beg to differ. It is a very good thing, maybe not for Cruz. Bush had very little support and the quicker Kasich and Carson exit the race, the better. Rubio does not get all the Bush supporters based on their second choice (about 35% to Rubio, 35% to Cruz and 15% to Trump...who cares about the rest).

It is going to be a three man race soon. Trump got 75% of Evangelical vote in SC (that was supposed to be for Cruz) and Rubio had the backing of the establishment and endorsements too. No help!

Voters value, "tell it like it is".

Absolutely! We're tired of the mealy-mouthed political correctness usually dished out by the Establishment candidates like what we had last time (Romney). Trump reminds me of Patton and Theodore Roosevelt in some ways. At this time in our history we desperately need someone like that.

As the article linked to below says, "Trump is the first presidential candidate in 50 years who might conceivably: (1) deport illegal aliens, (2) build a wall, (3) block Muslim immigration, (4) flout political correctness, (5) bring manufacturing home, and (6) end the GOP's neurotic compulsion to start wars in some godforsaken part of the world. "

I'd just as soon Rubio got no help from anywhere!

He (Rubio) is going to need all the help he can get! Fear not though, it is neither his time nor his turn.

Trump questioned Rubio's eligibility today with a retweet from someone claiming Rubio is not a natural born citizen. Trump owned it on ABC This Week, saying he's not sure, because he doesn't know Rubio's circumstances but he retweeted it so people could have a dialogue about it.

If the shoe was on the other foot, you know Rubio would be all over it.
