04-21-2005, 08:26 PM #12Until Mexico loses its corruption, and loses its political structure, NAFTA will NOT be good for the United States.
It has already taken way too many jobs away. Hundreds of jobs were lost in this city alone in the mid 90's when the texile companies making jeans, shirts, etc. moved their operations to Juarez. Bu 2000, those same factory owners smelled sweeter b.s. in China and the Mexicans who weren't able to do the jobs our ignorant government and the greedy businessmen so capriciously gave them lost out as well. Now, there are hundreds of people in El Paso, TX AND in Cuidad Juarez without employment. If that is the case here, what is the case in Tijuana and other border towns?
From what I can gather, Fox's job is up for grabs soon. Hopefully, the Mexican people will elect someone else to lead them instead of the pompous ass they have today.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

It's pretty simple if you look at how we've gone from a nation that cared about its citizens and quality of life to a nation that only cares about increasing profits for major corporations. The entire plan is to erase borders so cheap labor can come streaming in--the little clause in NAFTA that it's backers were very careful to play down is the part about SERVICES. NAFTA is not just about flowing goods across borders more easily--it's also about letting people flow to fill niches in North American ecomonies. This is a CRUCIAL point. This is the ultimate in Capitalism without any restrictions--people are COMMODITIES. Now a person creating, say, tires is going to look for the most inexpensive rubber to make that tire. Today, thanks to NAFTA, these corporations are looking for the cheapest HUMAN commodities. This is WHY we have a tidal wave of Third Worlders storming our borders--this was NOT happening before NAFTA to anywhere near the degree it is happening today and our government sure as HELL wasn't doing sneaky little things to lure them here pre-NAFTA.
Look at how Governor Owens of CO posted a document in SPANISH on his websitea couple of weeks ago telling illegals where to go for FREE medical care "where immigration status is not checked." He did this in Spanish of course hoping most English speakers would cast a blind eye to it--but thankfully we nosy internet guys broadcast it to the world and that sneaky little coward took the document down. You are paying for these services to illegals and so am I. This is OUR money, not Bill Owens! How DARE he do that? But little scenes like that are playing out in this country DAILY and it all depends on stealth because Americans, if they knew, would NOT go for this in a million years.
Now--moving on--as long as these corporations can lower their costs with cheaper labor they ARE GOING TO DO IT unless our government takes steps to stop it. They are not. In fact, the plan that Fox talks about in the article above is all part of this bigger plan that our own leaders are participating in BEHIND OUR BACKS. this is why our schools have been shoving Multiculturalism down our childrens' throats rather than teaching them about math, science or God forbid how to think ON THEIR OWN. They are social engineering this eradication of borders rather keeping our children on the cutting edge of the sciences as was the case 40 years ago.
Bush, Fox and what's his name from Canada just did a lecture at Baylor University where the three of them tried to push this plan to college students--they even had little American flags, and Mexican flags and Canadian flags as backdrops, and the flags were all in differing sizes. Sometimes the Canadian flag was the smallest, on another wall it was the biggest, on another wall medium. All set up to make the nations look interchangeable. This plan is HAPPENING folks. It's no crackpot conspiracy theory.
There was/isn't ANY public discussion or debate with the American people about how WE feel about taking on the problems of the Third World. Our leaders are working on CAFTA to further erase borders with Central America. Now how many people do you know who saw their lifestyle or salary rise due to NAFTA? On the contrary, from what I've seen in the tech field has been a crash close to a depression. Our wages are staying the same or falling, just as our new president FOX said in the article above.
I recall playing volleyball in a bar in Austin one night with a bunch of people who'd worked for Dell Computers for YEARS. That night in the late 90's every one of them got FIRED, All their jobs went straight outta the country in a flash. With our goverments BLESSING. You have to understand one thing here--WE AMERICANS orchestrated this entire scenario. It wasn't China, it wasn't India, it was OUR OWN GOVERMENT.
You think things are bad now? As our new president Vicente Fox says above, it'll take ten or twenty years for us to be making the same wages as Mexicans. Wait and see.

But that is OK. In time, those cheap laborers will orgainze. In another hundred years the Western Hemisphere is going to look attractive to businessmen seeking cheap labor. History repeats itself.
But you know what? I'm not ready to give up hope yet that we CAN reverse this trend if we fight now instead of sitting around waiting for someone else to do something. If there is no hope, we may as well all slit our wrists this very night. I, for one, am not ready to give up that easily.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Yes, these globalization cheerleaders are destoying America. Economists say it is a "net benefit" to the world, but we the American and European people are the losers. We are going to see out way of life erroded as our jobs move overseas to countries who work for so little and can't control their populations. Add into that all the illegals coming here to hurt our quality of life as well. Our government has moved way too far to the right. We need to elect a 3rd party populist if we want to end this mess. People need to wake up from their apathy, they are marching like sheeps to the slaughter without even knowing it as their quality of life is diminishing. This ultra-capitalism is harmful for America as a whole. It only helps the rich owners get richer. I want to see someone elected who is not a Corporate puppet but actually cares about America.

Whatever it takes to get a real president who cares about Americans next time is what I'm going to do. I don't care what political party he/she is affiliated with, I don't care whose toes get stepped on for that one special person to get into office. I am going to work my tail off to get someone elected who understands the problem and cares enough to fix it once and for all. If I had to choose someone to support right now, it would be Tom Tancredo. If he runs, it will be an easy decision for me as to who should be President.
That is not to say that I would let someone who has an established voting record against the cause (like hilliary clinton or john cornyn) fool me into believing that they have turned a new leaf, either. People who have held public offices have voting records that can be verified. I make absolutely certain that the people I get to vote for know that I am aware of that and that my eyes are open as well as my mouth. And anyone who has any close ties to President Bush, no matter what they say, is automatically crossed right off my list of potentials.
And the same goes for Senators, House Members, Governor, state legislators and all the way down the line.
Our local elections are taking place right now. Early voting started this week. We have so many unopposed positions it is sickening, yet we have FIVE people running for Mayor.
Our city government has turned into a den of nepotism and deceit. The current mayor, a former nobody, all of a sudden has all sorts of money to run a campaign but decent men with nothing are willing to stand against him in an attempt to save this city from itself. I'm curious where the Mayor's money came from in light of the fact that so many crimes in this city go unreported and so many criminals are reported to travel freely back and forth across the border.
One day I will leave this city and never look back. I look forward to that day. My hope is to keep this malignant "cancer" that pervades this border city from creeping across the entire nation.
There are just too many things here that I have seen with my own eyes that make me absolutely certain that the city government is corrupt. It starts with the honest police being prohibited from arresting illegal immigrants and ends with people committing crimes being warned by the not so honest police to change the appearance of their crimes to make them less obvious.
It seems to me that certain senators in recent elections ran unopposed. That is frightening! While I can see where a city government riddled with gangsters gets this way because people fear for their personal safety if they speak out, when it escalates to national level elected jobs, I'd like to know just exactly why there is no opposition. Is it apathy? Fear? In either case, it is very, very distrubing.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

04-22-2005, 11:01 AM #17If things go on as they are there isn't going to be any industry in the US or in Mexico and nobody is going to be making anything but the big business guys who own factories in China, India, Pakistan and all those other cheap labor countries. Further, if things keep going as they are and the population centers keep filling up with people at the same time the hospitals keep closing, there are going to be epidemics and millions of people will be wiped out.
This has happened in history before. Think back to Nazi Germany. Hitler came to power because the German population was getting sick and tired of the filth being pushed upon them by the Communist left.
Look what's happening here. Do I need to further explain? I hope we never ever get a leader like that in our government, but I'm afraid with America being at the breaking point it is anything is possible. Maybe not somebody as sick as Hitler, but somebody who's going to really clamp down if you know what I mean. If our elected leaders continue to push us to the breaking point, continue to disregard what we want, what's going to eventually happen? Maybe if not this, a civil war perhaps? States once again seceding from the union? Again I'm not advocating this, but it could happen. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I honestly don't see how this country is going to survive with the status quo continuing the way it is. A major backlash is going to happen sooner or later and I can just feel it. The people are getting to the breaking point. I see it everyday. Who can we trust in government at any level? Call me paranoid, but I don't feel too good about the future outcome of this country. I think we've gone too far already. I hope I'm wrong. I don't advocate violence, but that doesn't mean it may not happen someday if the population gets fed up and has no hope left. Please support our fight against illegal immigration by joining ALIPAC's email alerts here https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Seeing as though my last post was edited, for perhaps advocating violence.... I'll phrase this carefully.
dman1200's point about the rise of dictators is valid. Why should we lose freedoms in order to clean up the trash?
So instead, I'll advocate that the U.S. official policy is to conduct operations towards Mexico that are equal to, or surpass Mexico's incusions.
At the very least, we should have U.S. military convoys to escort and protect Americans so they can enter and roam about Mexico as they please.
It's time to start playing Mexico's game on their turf. It's a game we could win so easily, if we only had the will.
