SAN DIEGO - A television reporter investigating a suspected real estate scam was attacked by a woman and her husband, who punched and tackled him as a cameraman videotaped the incident.

Reporter John Mattes of Fox 6 News said he was treated for cracked ribs, bite wounds and cuts to his face after the confrontation Tuesday. The couple, identified by authorities as Assad “Sam” Suleiman, 36, and his wife, Rosa Amelia Barraza, 33, were arrested.

“He had his fingers in my eye socket, he was ripping my face apart, he was pulling my ears, he was biting,” Mattes told NBC’s “Today” show Thursday. “It was horrifying and it felt pretty bad.”

Are those the 'family values' that Bush keeps talking about? I hope these two are still in jail and will be for a long, long time.

Actually, they have been released on bond . . . only in America.

The reporter who was attacked was on O'Reilly Factor again last night. They reported that the man who attacked him was an Afghan. I think they were checking their legal status.

They could be here illegally. I owned a home in Indiana and sold it in February to a legal Mexican couple. However, they used a lender that was not licensed to do business in Indiana. In any event the entire thing turned out to be a full blown disaster that resulted in 4 last minute cancelled closing and me being homeless for about a month. Wells Fargo had apparently allowed them to close 35 previous deals in Indiana before they caught them. I consulted an attorney who told me that I had no rights in terms of a law suit but the couple that they represented did. I'm sure there are other illegal businesses being run by them in this country as well.

O'Reilly said he is going to follow this story to see if ILLEGAL aliens are involved. One also wonders if those living in the properties were ILLEGALS.

If I remember right Mattes said one of his sources said the pyscho woman was here on visa however it is not known if it is valid or expired.

The pyscho womans bail was also much higher than the husband.

Mattes also said the woman yelled "I can't find the gun!"

They should be charged with attempted murder not A&B!

Mattes is also taking this to court. I am not sue happy by any means but in this case take them for all they got Mr. Mattes
"What part of illegal don't you understand?"

The Black guy who got the nut case off of the reporter was a victim of the couple's real estate scam. But apparently they have gotten very wealthy defrauding people because the reporter stated that they lived in a mansion in California.

The dirtbag attacker was on TV tonight with his lawyer.
His arguments sounded about as sturdy as the talking heads
who advocate breaking our laws for illegal entry.

    Only in America.
