Special counsel Mueller asks White House for Flynn documents
Special counsel Mueller asks White House for Flynn documents: New York Times
Reuters•August 4, 2017
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Investigators working for U.S. special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating whether President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign colluded with Russia, have asked the White House for documents related to his former national security adviser Michael Flynn, the New York Times reported on Friday.
"Though not a formal subpoena, the document request is the first known instance of Mr. Mueller’s team asking the White House to hand over records," said the Times, which cited unnamed people close to the investigation for the report.
The Times also said the investigators had questioned witnesses about whether Flynn was secretly paid by the Turkish government during the final months of the 2016 campaign.
The White House and Flynn's lawyer, Robert Kelner, did not immediately respond to requests from Reuters for comment.
The Times quoted Ty Cobb, special counsel to Trump, as saying “We’ve said before we’re collaborating with the special counsel on an ongoing basis.”
Trump has denied any collusion between his campaign and Russia and called the investigation a witch hunt.
The Republican president fired Flynn in February after it became clear that he had falsely characterized the nature of phone conversations he had with the Russian ambassador to Washington in December.
Reuters reported in June that according to a subpoena, federal prosecutors in Virginia were investigating a deal between Flynn and Turkish businessman Ekim Alptekin as part of a grand jury criminal probe. [nL1N1IZ171]
Alptekin’s company, Netherlands-based Inovo BV, paid the now-inactive Flynn Intel Group $530,000 between September and November 2016 to produce a documentary and research on Fethullah Gulen, an exiled Turkish cleric living in the United States. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan blames Gulen for a failed coup last year.

Fethullah Gulen needs investigating. Not because of what he might have done in Turkey, but for what he is doing here.
Read up on this man. He is operating schools all over this country.
Why should we allow a foreigner to come to this country and operate schools?
Do we really think he is instilling American values in these school children?
How many Muslim, children is he teaching to hate America - and using our tax dollars to do it while our school children are lacking? How many children of illegals and migrants is he teaching or indoctrinating?
For all those who think school vouchers are a good thing, just think how much of your tax dollars are already going into his pocket and how much more when the voucher system is implemented.
Texas just passed the law and he has dozens of schools in Texas.
We are being attacked in hundreds of ways. Ways we don't know, don't see and can't even imagine - and our law makers are helping them use our tax dollars to do it.
We the people are allowing it to happen, condoning it, even applauding it without realizing how it will actually be used - against us.

This is off topic - kinda - but speaking of school vouchers, etc.
How many schools is LaRaza and that ilk going to open in this country and be filled immediately by virtue of vouchers?
Is that why Texas is beginning to looking for more funding for the schools? Do they already see it will break the educational system.
I'm surprised I hadn't thought of that before.

I support school vouchers, but only on a secular basis. I do not believe vouchers should be used for schools that do not follow strict educational requirements, do not support US law, and should not be used to promote a religion. I did some research some years ago on privatizing public schools, and found it to be the best way to go, with regulations. We would have better schools with better results at a much lower cost, half the cost to be exact.

Yes, I did get off topic, but, not really, it does concern this person Gulen. He had to have a lot of clout to be able to come here, and set up his network all over the country the way he did.
I wish Flynn had found out just who paved the way for him. Maybe he did and maybe that's part of the opposition to him.
This Muslim school will now be getting more through school vouhers, and again how many schools will LaRaza set up to teach children of illegals to hate America and how to fleece it?
We'll talk vouchers later, I just wanted to tie it into this Gulen and the danger it poses in allowing private schools by organizations with an agenda.
Personally, it poses a real danger to this country, I think.

This whole Russia thing is fizzling before our eyes. What a waste of time, emotions, energy and money.
