George Soros: 'Would-Be Dictator' Trump Putting Democracy 'In Crisis'
The US is a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy subject to mob rule. I guess Soros and the Left think if they keep saying it, it will be true. Soros keeps paying to try to make it a "Democracy", but as long as the Constitution is upheld, he will fail. The closest we have come to having a dictator is Obama. IMO
I get so annoyed when they say 'our Democracy" it is a false statement.

In a column for Project Syndicate, billionaire George Soros did not hold back his criticism for President-elect Donald Trump.
The 86-year-old investor said he finds "the current moment in history very painful" following the results of the 2016 presidential election.
He wrote:
"Democracy is now in crisis. Even the US, the world's leading democracy, elected a con artist and would-be dictator as its president. Although Trump has toned down his rhetoric since he was elected, he has changed neither his behavior nor his advisers. His cabinet comprises incompetent extremists and retired generals."
Soros donated $25 million to the Democratic cause during the lead-up to the election.
He wrote that he is more worried about Trump's impact on democracy around the world than in America itself.
"I am confident that democracy will prove resilient in the US. Its Constitution and institutions, including the fourth estate, are strong enough to resist the excesses of the executive branch, thus preventing a would-be dictator from becoming an actual one.
But the US will be preoccupied with internal struggles in the near future, and targeted minorities will suffer. The US will be unable to protect and promote democracy in the rest of the world. On the contrary, Trump will have greater affinity with dictators."
