if you have ever communicated with "pundits" who are pro-illegals, you will find that they go through these stages in your comunications with them ... AFTER they run out of arguments to defend their stance:

1) deny the problem (only whitey is racist; minorities cannot be racists...)

2) change the subject (just like the Irish were singled in the last century...)

3) call you racist and other lovely names

4) they no longer have the time to argue with you; they have better things to do...

try it, it happens every time. Even Latino "Powerhouses" like Ruben Navarrette....and all the "Latino" news/discussion forums...

You know what you do, cut them off at the pass. When you say this to them, and before they can make their rhetorical, typical remarks, you say it before them, and then laugh ruefully at them and walk away!!!!!

Actually, I have found most pro amnesty jerks just plain venomous and mean. You can't talk sense into these people.

I think it's because they have no real defense against any valid argument.

They SHUN the illegal immigration debate because the truth is on OUR side, NOT theirs!

It's kind of sad, but I can argue the pro-amnesty side better than they can. There really are some issues around this so it is not too difficult to do. The biggest problem we have is that this migration is in a state of chaos and unregulated. If we really need that many workers then lets put a legal process in place to assist. This turning the other way is what is so dangerous on so many different levels. Everything from teaching it is okay to break laws, mob action, people with criminal records coming in here (sometimes multiple times) to cause more crime, etc.
