Thread: Was it just me - or was the CNN coverage of the Trump event a waste of time?

Very little coverage of the actual event and rest was all about the "pundits" from CNN talking about things that had nothing to do with the event.

In my opinion, there was no reason for CNN to run Clinton, the person that I consider to be the the Hag of Benghazi, on a split screen and have to listen to Van Jones, the socialist that was so bad he had to quit the Obama administration, run his mouth.

I have an old friend that calls CNN the Communist News Network, and after watching the "event", I have to agree with him. There is a reason CNN has terrible ratings....

I turned back and forth between MSNBC and CNN as well as watched most of it on Live Stream.

It was a great event!! They've raised over $6 million so far. Trump put in $1 million, 2 friends of his put in $1 million each, so that's $3 million, then other friends put in $500,000; $100,000; $50,000; $75,000 .... and then others have put in the rest. They'll probably raise more tomorrow and over the next few days.

They've carefully examined the financials of the organizations they're going to contribute to as I expected they would, making sure that the money goes to those organizations that keep their expenses down so most of the money actually gets to the Vets.

Huckabee and Santorum makes nice talks. John Wayne Walding was there and made a terrific speech and 2 Vets from the 22kill.com organization were also there and one of them made a talk and the other one gave Trump a 22kill ring. The 22 Kill is the number of vets who commit suicide every day in the United States.

A great night in Iowa!!

Yep, makes me wonder about Trump's expedited return of illegals after deportation. Could Huckabee and Trump be in collusion on this?

Santorum was there, too. He spoke also.

Their presence there was a courtesy. Trump invited them up to say a few words to the Vets.

Watched it on C-SPAN. Was on CNN but when they showed a split screen of Bernie and Hillary and went to Hillary I looked elsewhere.

I think Huckabee came because he was done 'over there,' was invited and wanted to recognize our vets. Our vets were the main reason for Donald's event tonight and I thought they stayed on that subject quite well.
