Governors From 26 States Now Demanding Meeting With Biden Over Crisis At The Southern Border

    By Mike LaChance - September 20, 2021

Have you seen any images from the Texas border in Del Rio lately? It’s beyond a crisis. There are up to 15,000 illegal immigrants there and they’re being housed under a highway overpass.
This is now a public health crisis, in addition to a border crisis.

And where are Joe Biden and Kamala Harris? Nowhere to be found.
Multiple governors are now demanding a meeting with Biden over this.
    FOX News reports:
26 governors demand Biden meeting over border crisis

More than two dozen Republican governors are demanding a meeting with President Biden to address securing America’s borders, saying the illegal immigration surge under the current administration has created an “international humanitarian crisis.”
A letter released Monday signed by 26 Republican governors, including Doug Ducey of Arizona, Ron DeSantis of Florida, and Greg Abbott of Texas, asks Biden to schedule a meeting at the White House within the next 15 days so they can have an “open and constructive dialogue regarding border enforcement on behalf of U.S. citizens in our states and all those hoping to become U.S. citizens.”
The governors said border apprehensions are up almost 500% compared to last year, and that approximately 9,700 illegal apprehensions have prior criminal convictions. They said more fentanyl has been seized this fiscal year than the last three years combined and that cartels and human traffickers are making millions by smuggling people and drugs across the border.
“While governors are doing what we can, our Constitution requires that the president must faithfully execute the immigration laws passed by Congress,” the governors wrote. “Not only has the federal government created a crisis, it has left our states to deal with challenges that only the federal government has a duty to solve.
    The images are just stunning.

BORDER NOW: Heard from sources last night that there’s 6,000 illegal immigrants under this international bridge in Del Rio now. Chatter about another 20k on the way, unconfirmed. Mostly Haitians, some Cubans, Venezuelans. Most transported to BP station, processed, released.

Four House Republicans file impeachment articles against Biden over border and Afghanistan

    Andrew Miller 1 hr ago

A group of House Republicans has filed articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden.

"I filed articles of impeachment against @POTUS based on what I believe to be clear violations of his duties," Rep. Bob Gibbs of Ohio posted on Twitter Wednesday the day after filing the impeachment articles. "There are dynamics in Congress preventing this from being debated. But I could not stand by while Biden commits flagrant & deliberate violations of his oath of office."
Gibbs explained that Biden's handling of the surge of illegal immigrants at the border and his attempts to extend the federal eviction moratorium constitute a failure to carry out his duties as president.
"His willful negligence of the border crisis is a failure to maintain and defend American sovereignty. Biden’s attempts to extend a federal eviction moratorium despite the Supreme Court’s warning and his own admission that he has no power to do so is a blatant and intentional action that violates the separation of powers," Gibbs told the Daily Mail on Wednesday.

Gibbs said that the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan that claimed the lives of 13 U.S. service members was also a major factor in the decision to file articles of impeachment.
Gibbs, who was joined by Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona and Reps. Brian Babin and Randy Weber of Texas, acknowledged in an interview with the Washington Examiner that the impeachment is unlikely to succeed.
"Obviously, it's not going to go anywhere with Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi," Gibbs said about the Democratic-controlled house but added, "It shows that there are some Republicans that think that this president needs to be impeached, he needs to be removed from office one way or another."
The impeachment filing comes the same week polling showed plunging support for Biden amongst independents.
Biden currently holds a 43% approval and 53% disapproval in a new Gallup poll conducted Sept. 1-17. That’s a drop from a 49%-48% approval/disapproval rating in Gallup's Aug. 2-17 survey. In June, the president stood at 56%-42%.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News.
