Graham: Tom Cotton Immigration Approach ‘Has No Viability,’ He Is the ‘Steve King of the Senate’

Friday on MSNBC’s “Live With Velshi and Ruhle,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), said Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), approach to immigration is not viable like hardliner Rep. Steve King (R-IA).


After being interrupted by a phone call from Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), Graham said, “You asked me a question, what would the president take. The point I’m trying to make is at 10:00 Thursday morning, he thought this was a pretty good proposal. We could always make it better. Now they’ve taken a hard-edged approach all I can say is we’re not going to end immigration for DACA. The Tom Cotton approach has no viability here. He’s become sort of the Steve King of the Senate. I like Tom but on immigration, he’s putting something on the table that there’s just no market for in phase one. As soon as the White House understands there’s a bandwidth here for phase one that will include border security and DACA and a few other things, we’ll get a deal.”

I despise Lindsey Graham.

Senator Tom Cotton spoke minutes ago to say he would be willing to provide protections for DACA recipients but that it should not repeat itself in the future.

(Broken Promises from amnesty of 1986 - Similar words were spoken. A few million morphed to upwards of 20 million more or less. Legislation means little if you do not enforce the laws like the ones we have and if you do not provide the people and funds. Amnesty always occurs.)

It's disgusting how the media keeps leeching onto Sen. Graham and Durbin when they want an interview concerning DACA. Graham and Durbin are old news where DACA is concerned, let's here more from some folks with different views instead of the same old crap.
