Harvard Law Professor Suspects Political Targeting in 'Outrageous' Case Against Obama Critic

Dinesh D’Souza’s popular documentary “2016: Obama’s America” made the case against Obama’s re-election, and set him firmly in the sites of the administration. Now they’re shamelessly attacking him.
While it is chilling indeed that D’Souza has been arrested for campaign fraud right before he is set to release another documentary about this lawless administration, it is even more surprising that Dinesh would be prosecuted so brazenly by a partisan.
Preet Bharara, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and George Venizelos, the Assistant Director-in-Charge of the New York Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”), filed charges this past week against DINESH D’SOUZA with violating the federal campaign finance laws.
The Open Secrets campaign contribution search site listed Preet as an inaugural contributor to Obama’s campaign, and also as a regular contributor.
Famed legal expert and Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz slammed the prosecution in comments made to Newsmax:
“This is clearly a case of selective prosecution for one of the most common things done during elections, which is to get people to raise money for you,” famed law professor Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax.
“If they went after everyone who did this, there would be no room in jails for murderers.”
And then Dershowitz says something that everyone should take extremely seriously:
“This is an outrageous prosecution and is certainly a misuse of resources,” charged Dershowitz. “It raises the question of why he is being selected for prosecution among the many, many people who commit similar crimes.
“This sounds to me like it is coming from higher places. It is hard for me to believe this did not come out of Washington or at least get the approval of those in Washington.”
Troublesome? Not for this administration – it’s hardly surprising, and no one in the lapdog press would dare raise an eyebrow.
