Allen West supporters expressed shock in Fort Pierce on Sunday, but not because the finally tally in St. Lucie County’s Congressional District 18 race showed West gaining 201 more votes — but because it was only based on a “cherry picked” partial recount and the supervisor refused to explain why.

Despite the persistent questions over fairness and accuracy, county attorneys, the county canvassing board and Elections Supervisor Gertrude Walker refused to answer questions from the campaigns or the press throughout the entire exercise. When the machine count was finished, elections officials announced the total and immediately had a sheriff’s deputy instruct everyone to leave.

The question everyone wanted answered was, Why did the supervisor promise to recount all the ballots from early voting and then chose to only
recount three days’ worth of votes?

The three days, according to the West team, did not include the time period when questions were raised about faulty technology on election night.

Many on West’s team said they felt the recount was a big show to make it look as if voting irregularities were addressed. The team is still trying to gain access to the voting logs from St. Lucie County, but has been unsuccessful so far.

WHY ARE THEY KEEPING THE MILITARY VOTE UNCOUNTED IN COL. ALLEN WEST'S RACE FOR CONGRESS - A HORRENDOUS act is being perpetrated by LIberals in the FL-18 Congressional race where American hero Col. Allen West is in a fight with ultra Liberal Patrick Murphy. Over 8,000 military ballots are not being counted by the Democrat who is head of elections in the district. And...she refused to allow any observers to watch when the ballots were inspected. WHY WON'T THE WILL OF OUR TROOPS BE COUNTED! Elections Supervisor Susan Bucher (an ultra liberal partisan Democrat) refuses to let anyone observe what is happening with these votes, which will of course go overwhelming to Col. West, a man who fought for America's freedom instead of to a Liberal who refused to stand up and fight for his country. THIS NEEDS TO STOP AND THE VOTES COUNTED....also, if any of you are in Riviera Beach, FL, or nearby, Col. West needs volunteers ASAP. WE will list the address where you can go to help in the comments!

Click like if you think OUR BRAVE TROOPS OVERSEAS BALLOTS SHOULD BE COUNTED FIRST...NOT LAST...BUT THAT IS WHAT LIBERALS REALLY THINK ABOUT OUR TROOPS. THEY WON'T GIVE THEM A FAIR SHAKE AND LET THEIR VOTES BE COUNTED!!

State ‘concerned’ about St. Lucie County results in West-Murphy race, sending staff to assess

    by George Bennett | November 13th, 2012

The Florida Division of Elections is sending three employees to St. Lucie County on Wednesday to try to figure out how 799 votes disappeared in Sunday’s partial recount of the close, nationally watched congressional race between U.S. Rep.Allen West and Democrat Patrick Murphy.

“We are concerned whenever there is a question about the accuracy of results,” Florida Department of State spokesman
Chris Cate said in an e-mail this afternoon. “We are sending three employees, including the bureau chief, from the Bureau of Voting Systems Certifications, to assess the tabulation process in St. Lucie County.”

St. Lucie, Martin and northern Palm Beach counties make up congressional District 18, where unofficial returns since election night have shown Murphy leading West by less than 1 percent. But St. Lucie County Elections Supervisor Gertrude Walker acknowledged that her office had problems uploading some electronic memory cartridges from early voting on election night.

West has not conceded, saying he wants a full recount of all ballots from early voting.

Murphy, who’s in Washington today for freshman orientation, said Monday he was “comfortable” with St. Lucie County’s tabulating.

Cate said the Division of Elections spoke to Walker on Saturday about the issue and was under the impression the county’s canvassing board would recount all 37,379 ballots cast during all eight days of early voting — not the three days the canvassing board decided to recount on Sunday.

The canvassing board’s attorney said Sunday that only 16,275 ballots from three days needed to be recounted because the cartridge problem was limited to those days.

The partial recount shaved 667 votes from Murphy’s total and 132 from West’s — a net gain of 535 votes for West that reduced Murphy’s unofficial margin of victory to 1,907 votes or 0.58 percent district-wide. That’s still a bigger lead than the 0.5 percent threshold for a recount under state law.

While the West-Murphy race doesn’t meet the statutory standard for a recount, Cate said counties have the discretion to re-run ballots if they suspect a tabulation error in initial results. That was the case in St. Lucie County.

“If a county canvassing board determines that its unofficial returns contain a counting error in which the vote tabulation system didn’t count properly marked votes, the county canvassing board may correct the error and retabulate the affected ballots. This decision is made by the county canvassing board, not the Department of State,” Cate said.

Technically, Cate said, what St. Lucie County conducted on Sunday was not a recount but a “retabulation” under state law.

    ALLEN WEST: 'UNCONSCIONABLE' VOTE SHENANIGANS

Congressman: Solve mystery of 4,000 unexplained ballots

    byJOE KOVACS
    11/13/2012

STUART, Fla. – U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., calls a mysterious 4,000-vote swing late on Election Night “unconscionable” as he continues his fight to challenge his razor-thin apparent loss to Democrat Patrick Murphy.

Appearing Monday night on “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel, West said, “The thing that spurred our curiosity in our race was the fact that at 1 o’clock in the morning on Election Night, all of a sudden there was a 4,000-vote swing that took me from being ahead to put the lead into my opponent’s hands.

“And what the supervisor of elections of St. Lucie County said, Gertrude Walker, was that they went back and did a recount of the early votes that they had already counted, the first three or four days. What we’re asking is very simple. Let’s have a full recount of all of those early votes, because to have a full 4,000-vote swing in a 35-minute period is unconscionable.”

Stand up to fight against voter fraud right now!
After a partial recount Sunday, West trailed Murphy by 1,907 votes, or 0.57 percent. West lost 132 votes and his Democratic opponent fell 667 with the re-tally of early ballots from Nov. 1 through 3.

West, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, pointed to numerous irregularities in St. Lucie County, claiming “a lot of disproportion between the amount of people who voted in some of these polling precincts and the actual amount of ballots that were counted.”

Gertrude Walker, supervisor of elections, D-St. Lucie County, Fla.

“We have instances where there were polling locations where the doors were locked and vote-counting was done, which is a violation of Florida statute,” he added. “And also, Ms. Walker, when she announced on Saturday that she would do a full recount of early votes on Sunday, but then she came back and only did the last three days, that’s another violation of Florida statute. So I think we all need to take the time out to make sure that we have a fair and equitable democratic electoral process.”

WND’s newest forum is your opportunity to report voter fraud

WND has reported on numerous instances of apparent voter fraud in this election cycle, including the fact that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney did not register a single vote across 59 voting districts in Philadelphia, Pa.

“Do you think that’s possible mathematically?” Sean Hannity asked West.

“Well, I don’t live up in Philadelphia or in the suburbs, so I’m not familiar, but I will tell you that the indicators or warnings would say that probably should not be mathematically possible,” said West.

“But coming back here to St. Lucie County, there is no way that Ms. Gertrude Walker can explain, at 1 o’clock in the morning, a 4,000-vote shift to put my opponent into the lead. And everyone is asking her about this, and she is refusing to come forth and do the right thing by the constituents, the voters of congressional district 18. … It’s not about me. I know that the Democrats would like to see me gone.”

“Do you think Democrats opposed you because you’re an African-American conservative?” Hannity asked.

“There is no doubt about it,” responded West. “What I find very funny is how the liberals will complain that the Republican Party needs to have more different faces, and as soon as a different face steps up, they viciously attack you.”

West’s battle against political newcomer Patrick Murphy was one of America’s costliest and fiercest House races, with more than $23 million spent, mostly on negative ads which permeated South Florida airwaves for months.

“I’m definitely excited to put the campaign behind us,” Murphy told the Palm Beach Post Monday. “It was a long campaign; it was a dirty campaign. I’m excited to get to work in D.C.”

The Stuart News is reporting today that West’s challenge of the result could potentially last for months, especially if he takes his concern to the U.S. House.

Article I of the Constitution gives the House or Senate the ability to decide a contested election.

But Bob Jarvis of Nova Southeastern’s law school told the paper it still doesn’t give West a good shot, despite the fact Republicans hold a majority in the House.

“There have been over a hundred of these challenges in the last century, but they really never succeed,” Jarvis said.

With West seeking recount, Murphy hits up donors for ‘Victory Protection Fund’

    by George Bennett | November 8th, 2012

    Murphy

With U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Palm Beach Gardens, going to court to seek a recount in hopes of overturning DemocratPatrick Murphy ‘s apparent narrow victory, Murphy is sending a fundraising appeal to donors.

Says a Murphy e-mail: “When other campaigns have been faced with similiar situations, they have been burdened with legal bills and lengthy and expensive fights that could go on for weeks — months even. We need urgent resources for our Victory Protection Fund to make sure we can protect this victory. We would not be asking for more funds if it was not so urgent.”
Murphy raised about $4 million for the congressional District 18 race, but tells contributors in the e-mail that “We threw everything we had at winning in the last few days.”

I truly believe Allen West was sabotaged by both parties for fear he could rise to the office of POUSA IN 2016.

It will be months until we fully understand the national coordination and vast resources that were brought to Florida in an attempt to defeat him at all costs. One group that shifted resources to his district is Fieldworks.

Fieldworks is a progressive campaign organization that has secured many of ACORN's old contracts. ACORN went bankrupt after Hannah Giles's child prostitution expose.

Most notably Fieldworks has extensive Voter Registration and "Get Out The Vote" contracts with almost every major progressive left organization in America.

Allegations Of Voter Fraud Continue In Election For Allen West’s Congressional Seat

    November 14, 2012

Allen West is continuing his uphill battle to defend his Congressional seat from Democratic challenger and presumed election winner, liberal Patrick Murphy. West and his legal team are calling the partial recount from St. Lucie County a “sham” and they are demanding a full recount of all votes cast in the county. When the initial results were announced, Murphy was ahead by about 2400 votes, but his lead was eroded to about 2000 votes after the partial recount.

Several interesting new developments have occurred in the fight for the former Army Colonel’s important seat in the House Of Representatives. West’s campaign manager, Tim Edson, criticized Murphy for attending new Congressional members’ events in Washington despite the continuing dispute over the results. Edson expressed his displeasure with Patrick Murphy:

“I think it is premature of him. I understand he would like to move on and wrap this up, but for someone who claims to be certified public accountant, you would expect him to be a little more concerned about the shifting numbers and the inaccuracies of these numbers.”

Allegations have been made that Fieldworks, a much criticized voter registration group that is an offshoot of the now defunct Acorn, funneled money to the campaign of Patrick Murphy. According to the conservative website, ClashDaily:

“The progressive left has made no secret of their hatred for Congressman Allen West. It will be months until we fully understand the national coordination and vast resources that were brought to Florida in an attempt to defeat him at all costs. One group that shifted resources to his district is Fieldworks. Most notably Fieldworks has extensive Voter Registration and “Get Out The Vote” contracts with almost every major progressive left organization in America.”

The ClashDaily article features an interview video with a Fieldworks staffer who admits to sending money raised for candidates in Colorado to the West Palm Beach area to defeat Congressman West. He refers to West as a “Teabagger” and says, “So they are dumping mass money on that from a lot of different groups and that’s why our money got taken and sent over there because they want that guy (West) out.” The video is raw footage from an American Phoenix Foundation investigation into the activities of Fieldworks.
