Help Get The Amendment To Protect Our Flag Passed In The Senate

The House of Representatives has passed a constitutional amendment to ban desecration of the U.S. flag by a margin of 286-130. The margin was more than the two-thirds needed.

The bill now goes to the Senate where it stands its best chance ever of passing. In fact, many sources say the Senate is only one vote shy of having the two-thirds necessary. It has already been endorsed by all 50 states.

Who opposes the bill? The American Civil Liberties Union and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.

Rep. Phil Gingrey of Georgia said “Our flag deserves to be respected and protected because it is more than just star-studded fabric.

Help us secure one million signatures to our petition in support of the amendment. We will present these to the Senate before they vote.
