a) Temporary Resident Status-

(1) IN GENERAL- Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Secretary shall confer upon an alien who qualifies under this subsection the status of an alien lawfully admitted for temporary residence if the Secretary determines that the alien--

(A) has performed agricultural employment in the United States for at least 575 hours or 100 work days, whichever is less, during any 12 consecutive months during the 18-month period ending on December 31, 2004;

(B) applied for such status during the 18-month application period beginning on the first day of the seventh month that begins after the date of enactment of this Act; and

I told ya, folks! It's a criminal doing the crime of conspiracy. We ousted Nixon for the same thing. They are messing around with our right to read the bill. That bill is for public knowledge and viewing. How dare they 'hide' it from us and then try to enact it as law. When will we view the idiot boy as a criminal, who must pay!!

Gee, so divide 575 hours by 100 days and you get what 10. something hours. At least the amnesty from 1989 required that you could prove you worked in the country 10 years, paid taxes, had not been a drain on the economy, had to be able to read, write and speak enough english, and that you had no criminal record. As it is now, the citizenship test has gone from 200 questions to a mere 8 for some people. What happened to the time when my family came here and they wanted people with special skills etc. Of course, yes this was like in 1978 but still. My father was offered it here because he had special skills. Then, of course, sought citizenship, bought properties in Texas and paid for all of our grave parts off of aldine bender and aldine westfield in houston texas. These people (of mexico who hate americans and all other non mexicans) are buying up death insurance to be transported back to mexico. I don't get it. Yet, that black lady in Texas says us OTMs are the threat. Yes, folks my friends jokingly refer to me that now. I have a good sense of humor or course. I find it funny myself but I have yet to see even the hondurans, guatamalans, etc be as violent, hateful and ungreatful as the many illegal immigrants of mexico-especially those at baldwin park shouting in spanish, "we will be steps ahead" "zarquawi, gringo killer". I was not born here, but let me tell you, that had my blood boiling. Seeing them burn the american flag...basically watching them commit open acts of treason and then hearing that black woman in texas speak about OTM's as the main threat. The mexican government has talked smack about all these iranians, iraquis, south americans, etc but I have yet to see film of these arrests. I just hear them reporting it. The Mexican government are making these false reports in an attempt(thinking we are that dumb) to make us think that the majority of illegal crossers are not their own people. Like someone else on here said, we dont have to be harvard grads to interpret B.S.
