Donald Trump is again declining to rule out launching an independent bid
"I'm gonna have to see how I was treated. It's very simple," Trump said

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump is again declining to rule out launching an independent bid for the White House, a decision that Trump says he has not yet made but one that could scramble the November election.

"I want to run as a Republican. I will beat Hillary Clinton," he told Fox's Chris Wallace in an interview set to air Sunday morning on "Fox News Sunday." Excerpts of the interview were released Friday night.

But when pressed to definitively say he would not consider it, Trump added, "I'm gonna have to see how I was treated. It's very simple."

Trump has waffled throughout the campaign about whether he would actually run a third-party campaign should he be denied the Republican nomination or, as he puts it, be treated "unfairly" by the Republican National Committee. In September, he signed a pledge to support the eventual Republican nominee for president -- whoever that may be -- but backed off that promise at a CNN town hall event on Tuesday. Trump's two remaining challengers, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, also distanced themselves from that promise.

Though he has led national polls soon after he announced his bid and has won a majority of the contests so far, it is unknown if Trump will reach the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the nomination. He has frequently floated the idea of bolting the party should the GOP establishment somehow deny him a nomination that he believes he has rightly earned.

When the other candidates won't keep their pledge to him, why should he keep his pledge to them?

Why should any candidate running on our ballot have to ward or fight off Republican Party campaigns against a single candidate like the Romney ANYONE BUT TRUMP, the Estalbishment's STOP TRUMP, and the "conservative" radio guy, Charlie Sykes NEVER TRUMP?

This is our front-runner. This is the people's choice. Trump has been leading in national polls for months, he's won the most states, he's won the most votes, he's so far won the most delegates, by winning, not by games, not by stealing, not by back-door, back-room, secret or otherwise state convention malarkey, but straight-up.

This is our front-runner who wants to secure our borders, deport illegal aliens, reduce legal immigration, fix our stupid harmful destructive trade deals, build a wall and make Mexico pay for it, make peace in the world, stay out of wars, knock-out ISIS, protect our country from Muslim immigration that could be infiltrated with ISIS fighters, who wants to fix our health care system, improve our education system, cut spending, improve our military, take care of our veterans, preserve and fund Social Security and Medicare, bring our jobs back, rebuild our infrastructure and blighted cities, create good jobs for all our citizens including black Americans who have outrageous unemployment rates. He wants to modernize our foreign relations, stream-line and improve our defense alliances and make wealthy countries start paying their proper share of the cost.

Why would any Republican, let alone American Voter, be against Donald Trump?

WHAT AMERICAN VOTER CAN BE AGAINST DONALD TRUMP?

You don't like his hair? What? You're jealous of his success? What? You support illegal aliens over US citizens? You support foreign workers over American Workers? You want to waste money on bad military programs? You want to send troops and money into foreign wars that have nothing to do with US? What?

Media, you are responsible for 90% of the division in the Republican Party. Some of us get that. But you are supposed to be part of our free press, a honest press, with rights to say and write whatever you want in commentary, but with an obligation to report honestly, fairly and without bias. And you haven't done that in this election. Maybe you haven't done it in any election. It's time you start doing your jobs with the rights and privileges the American People have given you.
