Rush -AP Pushes Ruling Class GOP to Support Amnesty, Throw Away the Conservative Base

    January 12, 2015

    BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: This is a story from the Associated Press, and what the AP is doing here, the AP is pulling out all the stops to keep the House from passing a bill that would defund a few of the Department of Homeland Security departments that would carry out Obama's executive amnesty.

"Die-hard House conservatives bungled a coup against House Speaker John Boehner but now look like winners, pushing Republicans farther right. Rather than punish and isolate those who opposed him as leader, Boehner surprised many on Friday by embracing an immigration plan that's tougher than lawmakers had expected. It would block President Barack Obama's recent limits on deportations and undo protections for immigrants brought to the United States illegally as children. The House is heading toward a vote Wednesday."

Now, what is happening here, I think the AP is trying to publicly humiliate, embarrass, and shame Boehner by virtue of this story claiming that he has embraced the agenda of the radical right. And they offer as proof that Boehner is embracing the agenda of the radical right in the House, that he's allowing this vote on Wednesday. AP is pulling out all the stops to keep the House from passing this bill, and what this bill would do would defund a few of the Department of Homeland Security departments that would have to carry out Obama's executive amnesty.

This has long been theorized as something that the House Republicans could do, just deny Obama the money for this department, that department. If he wants to do an executive amnesty, he's gonna need money in order to have these people naturalized, given amnesty, taken care of, and so the theory has been, "Okay, we'll just defund that department, we'll defund that department, that one over there," and he can't do it. And the AP is livid that this might happen.

So this story, I'm convinced, is an effort pulling out all the stops to keep the House from actually passing this bill. And the way the AP is doing it, they're trying to shame Boehner publicly by claiming that he has been weakened. Oh, yeah, instead of getting even with these guys that voted against him, instead of punishing these guys and instead of sending 'em to the gallows, instead of sending 'em to the guillotine, Boehner is embracing them. (gasping) And by embracing them, he's becoming one.

They're trying to shame the guy. This is exactly what the media does. The media knows that establishment Republicans want to be in the clique. The media knows the establishment Republicans want to be loved by the media. The media knows the establishment Republicans want to be part of the moving and shaking of what's going on in the Capitol. And the media knows the best way to embarrass these guys is to classify 'em or characterize 'em as conservatives, as right-wingers. Because that alone disqualifies you for membership in the upper echelons of the ruling class. We're not gonna let any conservatives in this bunch.

So there's a story saying that Boehner, rather than being strong and rather than being responsible, rather than treating these traitors who voted against him in a standard way, Boehner's embarrassed. They're really trying to embarrass Boehner. They're really trying to. I don't know to what extent this is true, is the point. But the AP says, "As the rebellious hard-liners celebrated, mainstream Republicans said Boehner's decision probably portends firmly conservative approaches to other issues."

Really? I would like for that to be the case. Could somebody name one for me? What other issues? Boehner's already given away the power of the purse for the year. They already did. They already agreed to an omnibus spending bill that takes care of the funding of the government all the way through September. What is there to do here?

"Boehner's agreement to nudge his caucus rightward, especially on immigration, could cause headaches for Republican presidential candidates." Oh, now they're really piling on at the AP. This is really mean, folks. Now they're gonna blame Boehner for damaging any potential Republican White House win, because any potentially Republican White House win, don't you know, must feature Republicans for amnesty. If the Republican candidate for president is against amnesty, he doesn't have a prayer. AP knows it, Democrat Party knows it, well, they say it.

So there's a whole lot of attempted shaming going on in this article. They're dumping big time on Boehner. Boehner's gutless. He's now embracing these traitors that voted against him, and now he's allowing this vote on Wednesday that would deny Obama money for that department or this department, thwarting his effort at amnesty, and this is going to destroy Republican presidential chances before they even get started. This a humdinger of a story, folks. He-he. I tell you.

"Boehner's agreement to nudge his caucus rightward, especially on immigration, could cause headaches for Republican presidential candidates needing Hispanic votes." See? Right there it is. Republicans can't win the White House without Hispanic votes, and they can't get Hispanic votes unless they're for amnesty and help Obama.

So, in other words, Republicans can't get Hispanic votes unless they do exactly what Obama does. And when they do that, for some reason, the Hispanics are gonna just run right away from the Democrat Party and right into the Republican Party. And we all know the media wants that to happen, right? The AP wants the Republican to get elected next year. They want the president to be held by a Republican, right? And the Democrats want that, too. Right?

"It also will complicate life for Senate Republicans." Oh, man, now it's really being piled on. So Boehner has destroyed himself. Now he's destroying Republican presidential nominees. And now he's gonna damage the Senate. What does it say about that? "It also will complicate life for Senate Republicans, who now hold the majority but generally cannot pass bills without at least six Democratic votes, thanks to filibuster powers."

Wow. So our buddies at the AP are even trying to get Senate Republicans to stop the House, and they're blaming Boehner. This is really -- (laughing) You know, as hard as all these Republicans have worked in Washington to sidle up to the Drive-By Media and to the establishment makers and so forth. Here's one little vote on Wednesday, and the AP is out to destroy Boehner and make sure that he gets blamed for everything that goes wrong in the Republican Party now.

"At issue is a $39.7 billion spending bill to keep the Department of Homeland Security funded beyond February." It's the one area that was not funded all the way through September. "The House version would block Obama's November order granting temporary relief from deportation to about 4 million immigrants who are in the country illegally. Most have been here at least five years and have children who are citizens or legal permanent residents."

It's fascinating to watch all this shake out. In the meantime, we need to track down the truth.

It would be nice one day to see the Associated Press and some other key media like the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times and so forth could or would actually take a reporters investigative role seek out the truth about illegal immigration. I did it, many here have done it, and we did it without a paycheck to cover our time and effort and had only the internet and our skills to find it. Yet, here are all the reporters, paid well, great benefits, all the research tools and resources available to them, and yet they haven't once tried to seek out the truth about illegal immigration. They haven't once found the conspiracy behind illegal immigration to flood our nation with foreign interests to the point where the American Way, the American Ideal and the American System no longer exists. So one can only conclude that these media organizations are part of the plan to merge the US with Canada and Mexico as part of the North American Union, then merge that with Central and South America. There is no other explanation for the affinity these entities have for immigration of all types, knowing full well the harm it causes to US citizens.
