Housecleaner accused of molesting 3 girls

Authorities seek public's help in identifying potential additional victims of accused Mission Viejo man.

SANTA ANA – A housecleaner repeatedly molested a 5-year-old girl at her home 15 years ago and sexually assaulted two girls, ages 9 and 10, at his home in 2009 and 2010, according to charges filed Friday by the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

Prosecutors said they are seeking the public's help in identifying other possible victims of the accused man, Omar Alirio Guzman, 43, of Mission Viejo, who is scheduled to be arraigned Monday on 10 felony charges.

If convicted, Guzman faces a minimum of 15 years to life and as many as 135 years to life in state prison. He is being held on $1 million bail.
In 1995, Guzman is accused of meeting the 5-year-old girl while cleaning her Dove Canyon home and sexually assaulting her on multiple occasions.
The girl reported the alleged crimes to her mother in 1995, and the Orange County Sheriff's Department investigated. It wasn't until this year, however, that charges were filed after authorities began looking into the more recent allegations against Guzman.
In the recent cases, Guzman is accused of becoming acquainted with the 9- and 10-year-old girls between February 2009 and December 2010 when they came to visit one of his relatives at his home in Mission Viejo.
Guzman is accused of sexually assaulting the 10-year-old on several occasions while she was at his home and on multiple occasions of touching the 9-year-old girl.
The 10-year-old girl reported the alleged sexual assault to her mother, who contacted police.
Investigators linked Guzman to the alleged crimes against the other two girls. The girl in the alleged Dove Canyon crime does not know the others.
Guzman is charged with five felony counts of lewd acts on a child under 14 against the 10-year-old girl, two felony counts each of lewd acts on a child under 14 against the 9- and 5-year-old, and one felony count of aggravated sexual assault on a child under 14.
He also is charged with sentencing enhancement allegations for substantial sexual conduct against the 10-year-old, and for committing a sexual offense against multiple victims.
Anyone with information or who believes he or she may have been a victim is asked to call Orange County Sheriff's Department investigator Margie Sheehan at (714) 647-4067 or Supervising District Attorney investigator Randy Litwin at (714) 347-8794.
