Trump is president: Happy days are here again

Trump is president: Happy days are here again

President Trump gave a powerful and honest inauguration speech. He spoke plainly and directly. He did not say any phony, useless John McCain “let’s reach across the aisle” blather. Nor the usual drivel that we will make the world safe for democracy, which makes for stirring sound bites but results in American military casualties as in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

He reinforced the points of his agenda. Defend our borders, strengthen our military, make our allies pay their fair share of their defense costs, bring jobs back, keep jobs in America, reduce taxes, education reform, defeat radical Muslim terrorism, and make our cities safe. The premise underlying the agenda is to do what is best for America, not what is best for foreign countries.

This is not isolationism, but a welcome departure from the Wilsonian belief that it is our job to intervene in the affairs of other nations to impose democratic government.

    President Trump said:

For many decades, we’ve enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry. Subsidized the armies of other countries while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military. We’ve defended other nation’s borders while refusing to defend our own, and spent trillions of dollars overseas while America’s infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay.

The best part of the speech is:
For too long, a small group in our nation’s Capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost.

Washington flourished -- but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered -- but the jobs left, and the factories closed. The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country.

Their victories have not been your victories; their triumphs have not been your triumphs; and while they celebrated in our nation’s Capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land. That all changes -- starting right here, and right now, because this moment is your moment: it belongs to you. It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America.

This is a direct shot at the career politicians who have enriched themselves at the public’s expense. Many of those politicians were on the dais behind Trump. For example, the Clintons who were so broke in 2000 they had to sell pardons and steal White House silverware, but today have a net worth of over 125 million.

Barack Obama now has a net worth of over 12 million.

Michelle Obama also has a net worth of about 12 million.

They represent the elites who passed NAFTA and put the interests of climate change/global warming ahead of the economic welfare of American workers. They put the interests of illegal immigrants ahead of the interests of the safety and jobs of Americans.

President Trump was not afraid to name our enemy and our friends:
We will reinforce old alliances and form new ones – and unite the civilized world against Radical Islamic Terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the Earth.

The old alliances means Israel, which was betrayed by Obama at the U.N. vote that condemned Israeli settlements. New alliances may include Russia and Turkey, which have also been attacked by radical Muslim terrorists. This does not mean they are our friends; it means they may be useful to defeat the terrorists.

Trump said the focus is on America First.

Trump will do what is best for America.

That was great that he drove the point home to the career politicians that they serve the American people not themselves. It was a warning to them that they will not be getting any richer off the backs of the American people. I really like that he kept stating on each directive that it stops here and now. I bet that they will all be called in to see Trump and he will reiterate personally to each of them that their job is to serve the American people and this country and he will not tolerate otherwise.

Yes, I expect they can all look forward to interviews with Trump who will explain his mission that he expects them to foster, promote and achieve where their actions and support are needed.

Message to Congress: Trump's got this. Trump's had this for at least 37 years. Trump has watched you all flump and flop like poor beached whales on a beach-head. Trump knows what to do. You need to sit down and wait for orders and then execute. None of you are in any position to pull rank, to criticize, to attack him because your records already prove your own incompetence on many of the issues we need solved. You allow your emotions, your donors, your lack of education in key areas, your own peculiar personalities and partisan politics to put Americans out of work while using tax mandates and debt limits to support foreign nationals, foreign nations, drug cartels, communists, socialists, gangs and other criminal enterprises at our expense.

It you ever wanted to solve this or had the ability to solve this, you already would have. You haven't and you won't. Trump will because he both wants to solve it and knows how to do it. You will be part of a great American history in the making if you will just sit down, wait for orders, and do your jobs.

In my view he clearly defined the problem when he said this:

For many decades, we’ve enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry. Subsidized the armies of other countries while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military. We’ve defended other nation’s borders while refusing to defend our own, and spent trillions of dollars overseas while America’s infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay.
He didn't spell out the solutions, but I think they are implied:

    1. Stop enriching foreign industry at the expense of ours by negotiating fair trade deals instead of the one-sided crap that has been going on.
    2. Stop spending money on having our military defend countries like Germany and France who can afford to defend themselves and instead spend the money on our own defensive needs by increasing our defensive forces.
    3. Adequately defend our borders instead of leaving them open like they have been.
    4. Stop giving billions in foreign aid to countries (especially those that hate us!!) for them to build schools, bridges, airports etc. and build schools, bridges, airports etc. in our own nation.

He's spelled out quite a few solutions in his rally speeches and on his website. And when you go into too much detail you're just coaching your opposition on mole hills to hang their hat on to oppose the total effort to solve the problem. So in my mind, Trump should stick to general themes and leave the details to administration officials, which he of course will be tuned into but that don't need to be plastered in front of a CORRUPT MEDIA until the position is formal, the legislation written and/or appropriate action is taken.

And when you go into too much detail you're just coaching your opposition
There is some merit in what you say, but I wouldn't characterize what I wrote as, "too much detail." Just the ramblings of one of the "deplorables."

Besides, I'm sure the enemies of freedom and the Republic aren't going to learn anything from what I post here. They already know what they've done and what Trump has to do to fix it. They are very intelligent. Evil, but intelligent. So I don't think anything posted in this forum is going to tell them anything they don't already know.

However, I do think there's a tiny chance that another "deplorable" may read something one of us ALIPACers posts here which may cause them to wake up out of their slumber, like I did near the turn of the century. They may read something we post and it may help them decide to join our cause to restore freedom to the Republic and it's people.

So I think spelling out our take on issues on this forum is a good idea. The opposition be damned.

Oh no, I wasn't suggesting you were calling for too much detail!
