Thread: I Just Talked To Lou Dobbs On The Radio

I didn't hear your phone call, but from what you describe I'm leery when I hear pundits/pols etc. (such as McCain and now apparently Lou Dobbs) say we must "secure the borders first" implying what, that mass amnesty (or whatever euphemism they choose to use) comes after this??

I wish Dobbs' would clearly articulate that we must secure the borders period & enforce existing laws, and have no more amnesties, "pathway" or otherwise (which would just pressure and ultimately gut border security).

We admitted over a million legal immigrants last year -- the American people are already very generous.

I just heard Lou say something on Wolfe Blitzer about having something on his show the issue illegal immigration and the election. That's good, because I was telling him on the radio that in yesterday's primary, we got all the nominees we wanted for the election to help Idaho fight illegal immigration.

Lou has told guests like Guiterrez and Janet of LaRaza that he doesnt want and never said that the 12 million illegal aliens already here should be deported.

I assumed he was for enforcing the laws which would result in deportation.

I'm surprised that he is wishy washy on this subject.

What's confusing is that he keeps saying the American people made it clear that they don't want amnesty. He did admit though that enforcing the laws would be a good thing.

I wonder if we can get transcripts of his radio show, then we could listen to it again and then everyone could comment on what they think he means.

I found pages of yesterday's transcripts, but todays won't be posted until tonight or tomorrow.
