Monthly remittances to Mexico top $5.15 bln in June, near record high

MEXICO CITY, Aug 1 (Reuters) - Monthly remittances to Mexico, a major boost for low-income families in Latin America's second-largest economy, topped $5.15 billion in June, just slightly under the record high reached in May, Mexico's central bank said Monday.

June remittances were also up 15.6% from the same month last year, according to central bank data, as Mexicans abroad are increasingly sending part of their wages to their home country, which saw inflation at a 21-year high in June.

Both the number of remittances and the average amount sent increased in June, the central bank reported. Some 12.6 billion remittances, largely from the United States, were sent in June for an average of $408 each.

Remittances this year through June are up to $27.57 billion, putting Mexico near the rate needed to hit President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador's estimate of $60 billion by year-end.

They come here and RIP us off, attend our schools for free, get healthcare, drop anchor babies and get on the dole of welfare and food stamps and make money under the table.

They STUFF 20 people into one home to live cheap, game our system, and not pay into the local taxes or services they use. This destroys our communities, and this lowers property taxes as well.

They do not spend billions in OUR economy of top of the grand theft they already commit.

These remittances should be taxed, and every dime used for deportations of ALL illegal aliens and their UACs by the shiploads.

These parasites cost us well over $150 BILLION a year, every year. Get them off our soil.

Mexico has a false economy, and they need to step up and employ their own cheap labor!
