Jesse Kelley campaign update and close recount!
Campaign update
Hello,
Thank you to everyone who poured their time, treasure, and heart into Jesse's campaign.
At this time, there are tens of thousands of ballots still to be counted so the race is too close to call. We have been consistently closing the gap since election night. You can check the current vote count at this link.
HELP! There are a few hundred provisional ballots from people who did not have proper ID at the polls. If you know any Kelly supporters who voted one of these Conditional Provisional ballots, please MAKE SURE they go to their county recorder's office as soon as possible and show proper ID. This is the only thing we can do at this time to change the vote count.
Here is the contact information for the county recorders in CD 8.
Cochise Recorder: (520) 432-8354
Pima Recorder: (520) 740-4330
Pinal Recorder: (520) 866-6830
Santa Cruz Recorder: (520) 375-7990
Signs: If you have any remaining small or medium yard signs, please drop them off at the campaign office at 698 E. Wetmore, Suite 440. If you can help with the large road signs, please contact Joe Boogaart at jd.boogaart@gmail.com or (520) 229-7719.

Libertarian Party registrations have not grown by 56% in the 8th Disctrict yet their percentage of the vote has increased that much from the last election. The information below might help explain where 3462 potential Kelly votes went.
The Libertarian Candidate
2010 Libertarian 9587 from a total of 248,775 votes cast 3.8537%
2008 Libertarian 8,081 from a total of 328,266 votes cast 2.4617%
http://www.azsos.gov/election/voterreg/2009-01-01.pdf
Registered Libertarians:
Cochise County 281
Pima County 3,205
Pinal County 756
Santa Cruz County 122
* note only portions of Pima and Santa Cruz along with a small sliver of Pinal are in the 8th
If every registered Libertarian in those four counties lived in the 8th District that would amount to 4,364 votes. I know Libertarians are a dedicated group but what are the odds that all of them in these four counties live in the 8th (look at a Congressional District Map and those odds get real long) and they had 100% turnout. Of course the Libertarian Party can overpoll just like the other parties and it appears they have in this district during the past two cycles. But to the degree they did in this race seems outsized. Also, it is my opinion that the 2008 vote included a number of angry/protest Republicans. I could be wrong but I think that potential effect would have been less this cycle and both Republicans and Libertarians would have been more likely to work together to remove their arch enemy the "big government statist" democrat.

Jesse Kelly has conceded the race to Giffords.
CONSERVATIVE KELLY CONCEDES IN CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT RACE
by Blog on Nov. 06, 2010, under Arizona Conservative
Jesse Kelly ran a solid race, but in the end he could not quite overcome the liberal incumbent Gabby Giffords in the liberal district of Southeast Arizona. Giffords won by the slimmest of margins -- 1.33 percent.
District 8 has been in liberal hands for at least 26 years and will stay that way for another two years.
Kelly said, “I would like to thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my wife Aubrey, who has been by my side this entire time, my family, for their unwavering...
