Does anyone remember Obama versus McCain in 2008?
I remember the presidential election between Obama and McCain in 2008. It was a measure of how much I despise McCain, that even running against Obama, I wouldn't vote for him. In the write-in section of the ballot, I put NOTA, None of the Above.
But if Cruz wins the nomination for president in this 2016 election, I will vote Democrat. I don't care what their policies are on illegal immigration or immigration or citizenship is. As far as I am concerned Cruz would not exist if not the Democrats and if he wins the nomination, it might as well be a contest among Democrats and in a race between Democrats, I will vote for the citizen first, no matter what.
Our illegal immigration problems start with derelict immigration policy and our vastly corrupted institution of citizenship is the worse part of it all. Putting Cruz in the White House would be the same as putting the descendant of illegal immigrants in the White House. No different.
I will vote against Cruz if he wins the nomination. And I know I'm not the only one. I'm in California and maybe the Republicans have decided they have no hope in California. Or maybe they hope the independents (Decline to State) will win it for him. Not this one.
If Cruz wins the nomination, it is going to be 2008 all over again, maybe worse.Support ALIPAC'sFIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Unlike McCain, Romney could have succeeded in 2008. Barack Obama was an unknown, so actually had a big handicap. Some people in the GOP, especially super conservatives and religious evangelicals in particular, were against Romney. Romney would have beaten the unknown Barack Obama, and everything would be different. He would probably have some sort of national health care plan but it wouldn't be Obamacare.

I'm out here too and see what you see, but do not throw your vote away because of Cruz. I couldn't vote for McAmnesty back then and did vote Romney. Cruz is deficient in a lot of areas that I don't like but on amnesty he's the ONLY other candidate besides Trump that will do something positive about illegal immigration. He almost has to now because of what he's stated on campaign trail. And I trust Jeff Sessions' word on him too.
The only problem with all that is that Cruz will have a very rough time in general. He'll get zero Blue or black votes so it will have to be an epic Red turnout for him to win.
PS: California strategy should be to talk up Bernie because he won't have Dem machine behind him and possibly a little easier to beat because of it. I have a Bernie sticker on an old beater I drive around locally

On the issue of voting against Cruz should he win the primaries. Well, that makes absolutely no sense to me, but I'm only one person with one vote. Perhaps others can understand such a logic, but not me. On the issue of immigration and border security, you couldn't squeeze a cat between the differences between the two. Unfortunately the same can't be said for all the other candidates ... of course that includes the two Democrat candidates. I think it's safe to say that immigration and border security are the top issues for many of us here on ALIPAC. Should Cruz win the GOP nomination, voting against him would be counter-productive to where we stand on immigration.
The way I see it (only my opinion), Cruz and Trump are our only two choices where immigration is concerned. Should Trump or Cruz not win the GOP nomination, I will not vote for a presidential candidate because all the other candidates support some form of amnesty. I will still vote, just not on a president."The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" ** Edmund Burke**
