    Welcome BobC

Thank you for the vote of confidence. I enjoyed being on the Terry Anderson show and I wish all of America could hear that show. You'll find that others are eager to work with you here.

We are doing more in our discussion boards than chatting and sharing news, we are training activists. I hope you will take the time to learn the ropes and to become an important part of our operations.

    Welcome aboard!

Welcome Bob! I've been following the immigration issue since the beginning of my military career in the Coast Guard back in 1995 during the mass exodus of Hiatian nationals into the US. That right there opened my eyes to the immigration issue. But back then even I had no idea how bad it really was. I understood that some people were trying to enter this country illegally through our air and sea ports, but until probably 3 years later I had no idea that we were experiencing a full scale invasion and what's worse is I find out a couple of years later that the Republican party (a party I've voted for almost all of my life) is in on the scam.

I really didn't start getting active on the issue until shortly after 9-11. Before then I was concerned, but didn't know what to do about it. Now just like you I'm mad as hell and I can't take it anymore. Thankfully I'm still in the military and I have a good job, but a few years down the road when I retire I wonder despite my many accomplishments and accolates in my career and educational wise if I will even be able to land a decent job without worrying about my job being shipped overseas or being lost to an illegal alien. Worse is I fear we will either lose our sovereignty over to Mexico or China or we will get nuked by some radical over in the Middle East and they will use our porous borders to do so.

I really worry about the future of this country and I'm more then furious about the politicos from both sides of the spectrum and the yellow belly media that has been covering up this issue since day one.

I hope you will attend the April 23rd - 28 conference in DC called Hold their Feet to the Fire. Check out the info if you haven't already:

    welcome...

bobc... welcome, though i am a newbee here...

your note caught my attention when you sed

    >> I have watched probably 50% of our jobs get quietly shipped to Russia, China and India over the past 5 years <<

i worked at a dec facility in the 80-90's... i watched a whole semiconductor line sent to mexico. i watched as techs were sent to
(i think)chuawa? to train thir replacenents (unbeknownst to them at the time)... i watched (and shipped) our equipment overseas...

i also watched the mexican yields skyrocket to 98%, though they "fell out"
to the domestic 48% rate at final test. the geniuses behind the scheme did in fact cost the corp. a bunch handeling bad material through final test... the rest is history as far as the once nobel dec went... no copmany has ever digested their management without fatal effects.
ask anyone from compaq or hp...

in any case, watching 600 fellow employees "rightsized and downsized", i quit of my on volition and became a carpenter (not the smartest move i ever made, but at least reasonably secure).

i am not a racist or a xenophobe, but i am an american, and i believe it is the moral duty of the american government to promote (and enforce) legislation that maintains the "american way" we are all free to move to any third world hell hole anytime, in fact i'm rather confident that united
airlines will be rather glad to sell anyone a ticket to anywhere, anytime.

what we are witnessing is the importation of the third world around us. i can move to mexico city...fine what is happening is my country is becomming the third world around me, no move needed.

totally unacceptable, totally wrong, and most assuredly unamerican.

i have little time, but this issue is going to consume much of it ; i intend to be a pain in the rear ends of as many people as necessary to promote a peaceful resolution to this matter. should we fail, the resolution will not be peaceful, and will not be anything new as far as history goes. as a wise man once said, "the only new thing under the sun is the history you do not know". this is not a new phenoma....

    anyhoo, im ranting again....

    welcome

Regarding the tuition travesty, we need a class action law suit for discrimination against a whole group of US citizens: everyone who wishes to attend a school but lives outside the state where it's located. We're constitutionally guaranteed equal treatment under the law. And if these socialist school administrators, governors, state legislatures or anyone else violates that inalienable right, they need to be found responsible and for the short term ALL FEDERAL FUNDS SHOULD BE SUSPENDED! IMO, they should be found criminally liable too. Where's the ACLU? As if I didn't know.

Wow! I didn't expect so many responses! One thing I failed to say in my initial post was that I feel something huge has been totally missing in American lifein the past couple of decades--and I know this is going to sound stupid--but Americans have forgotten how to love each other. We have no unity, no caring about each other--and maybe that's a product of having things so good for so long that we forgot how. As I said in my post, I have watched the videogame field implode and so many of my friends are broke and unable to find work--it's scary. At my new job I have made it a point to hardcore train every single one of these younger guys to make sure they remain viable to the dwindling companies still operating here in the US. I feel like I have to love them and look out for them. I've seen so much back-stabbing and nastiness in my field but I think that's waning. I feel like the guys I work with would walk through a fire for me at this point and I'm sure that's because nobody else ever showed an interest in them. I love every one of them.

Anyway--I am going to use this thread to explain how I came to this cause . I want to explain my own experience and I urge all of you to do the same because people start to "get it" when real people relate their real-life experiences. I hope everybody will share on this thread. What's happening right now in America is the most shocking thing I've ever seen in my fairly young life. It's almost as if our "leaders" have taken it upon themselves to dissolve our borders for profit.

Guess what? I'm not going for it. I don't give a damn who this president is or who he think he is. This is OUR nation guys. I feel pretty certain that none of you voted Vicente Fox into the presidency

RE: outsourcing IT jobs...I don't know whether to be happy or sad about this but there is a company called Rural Sourcing, Inc. that will at least keep the jobs in America. They "outsource" jobs to rural America where the wages are much lower.

RE: in-state tuition rates for illegals and a class action lawsuit...There is no law in Indiana that says universities have to give in-state tuition rates to illegals. Hispanic groups have lobbied some university presidents directly and have been told that they don't bother to check legal status. (Purdue University is one) If the student appears to have resided in our state, they qualify for the in-state tuition rate. I believe FAIR already has a class action lawsuit going. I think it involves students from several different states.

Welcome to all the newbies. I'm still wet behind the ears, myself. The post about loving each other struck home with me. It made me think of the first couple weeks immediately following 9/11. Everyone was so kind, unselfish and tender with each other...even strangers. It was as if we couldn't bear to be the cause of adding to anyone's grief. I thought we would finally get rid of all the hyphens (African-American, Asian-American, Hispanic-American, etc.) and just be plain old Americans. Even the politicians seemed united during the first couple weeks. Of course, it didn't last but I would like to get back to placing our American-ness above other designations, including party.

I agree Hoosier. I think a lot of us looked at life differently after 9-11. I remember calling two friends in NYC and offering to drive up there to get them if they wanted to come stay at my house in Texas-- since at that time we didn't know if any more attacks were imminent.

Speaking of 911, I find it amazing that this flood of illegals is coming AFTER, not before, 911. I think most of us were under the impression that our leaders were seriously cracking down on border securiy. I thought illegal immigration boiled down to a van or two a year sneaking across the border, usually getting caught. But living in San Mateo CA for a few months in 2003 changed my life forever. It was astonishing how few people there spoke English. Everything was a hassle. It wasn't just Mexicans speaking spanish, it was Koreans, Chinese, Russians, God only knows what else and nobody was assimilating. Just getting directions was a pain because you'd have to ask a dozen people before you found anybody who spoke English.

CAlifornia seemed like a civilization on the brink. It was like you had all these people coming in in torrents, but once they got here the cost of living was astronomical and all most of them could do was minimum wage jobs so I wondered how they could live there. Where were thy living?

I had that impression for about 28 seconds when I discovered it was naive. I've opined here that McCain is hiding behind non-issues to prevent us from looking at what he's doing about the border problem. And he's not alone. Gov. Richardson also hides behind non issues.

It goes on and on with all our politicians. They're terrified of the open-border lobbies and wish to stay neutral. Unfortunately, neutrality never worked for this country and they must be forced to take a stand, a la, Tancredo.
