I just checked and CNN removed this paragraph from the story 8O
At CNNpolitics.com a story about the new money give away … it is not a give away … it is an advance on your tax return next year… so next year they will take the money back and you will be short for that year…
“The checks are an advance on next year's refunds, and most, if not all of the money, will be deducted from taxpayers' refunds in 12 months' time.â€
Just an fyi, they removed that sentence... unbelievable!

I understand Disillusioned ... it just feels strange to see it change like that.

What's the point in a "rebate," if it's deducted from next year's rebate? No thanks!
And what about the poor people who are a family with kids, and they get somewhere around a $2,000 rebate? What if, due to this, they OWE taxes next year, rather than getting a refund? Wouldn't that put people into MORE DEBT, rather than saving the economy?
I'm hoping this is a misprint, but it wouldn't surprise me if that little fact is kept secret from the public. They KNOW everyone would be TICKED OFF to know this!
