    It's Discrimination Against Americans

When an American commits a violent crime, it's on all the MSM news channels for days. However, they never report a violent crime committed by an illegal alien, no matter how violent. There should be some recourse for the American people in this case, don't you think? There should be something we can do to get them to report all violent crimes because it's out and out discrimination against Americans, and I thought that was against the law.

Can you sue the news media for not reporting the truth? Truth is not their thing you know. And remember that they work for the CFR.

It is most certainly discrimination. I don't think it's possible to sue them for not reporting the truth. You can sue them for reporting a lie, but not for not reporting the truth. There is however the possibility of suing them for bias that targets a specific race group. Like Black Americans. They could sue. Their faces are plastered all over the media and news for weeks when they do something wrong, yet illegal aliens murder and kill us left and right and we're lucky if we see their mugs once.

And if they do report a latino committing a crime they very seldom say whether or not he is illegal. But, sad to say, I always think that they are illegal.

It's called UN-equal protection under the law and a violation of the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution.

They use to teach an article should inform the public of: who, what, where, when, why and how.

Earlier tonight I read of a murder..........the entire description of the suspect consisted of "about age 20"..........that was it! Unbelievable.

No gender, race, hair color--shaved head, eye color, height, weight, no physical mention of a scar, tattoo, limp, or so forth, and not even a clothing despription. No murder weapon was cited nor if the suspect was considered armed and dangerous.
The policy of not giving a suspect's description is a threat to public safety and the public can't aid in identifying the suspect.

Under comments of articles we should pose questions.

Newspaper have sued the Federal government for information with the Freedom of Information Act.

    Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)

Like all federal agencies, the Department of Justice (DOJ) generally is required under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to disclose records requested in writing by any person. However, agencies may withhold information pursuant to nine exemptions and three exclusions contained in the statute. The FOIA applies only to federal agencies and does not create a right of access to records held by Congress, the courts, or by state or local government agencies. Each state has its own public access laws that should be consulted for access to state and local records.

Each federal agency is responsible for meeting its FOIA responsibilities for its own records. A list of Principal FOIA Contacts At Federal Agencies is available from this site. Likewise, each Department of Justice component is responsible for processing FOIA requests for the records that it maintains. Consult the DOJ FOIA Reference Guide and the List of Individual DOJ Components and FOIA Contacts if you plan to make a FOIA request to the Department of Justice. Before making a FOIA request, you should first browse About DOJ, Press Room, Publications & Documents, and Reading Rooms, which contain information already available to the public. If you are not familiar with this Web site, please refer to How to Use This Home Page for more specific guidance.

"about age 20" = illegal alien, no ID.

    Grrrr.

    It's outrageous.

I know what you mean. There was a recent violent crime (really awful) reported on our local news website that mentioned the name of the suspect (a hispanic name) and then no follow up story was ever done. Nothing about his court appearance, immigration status, nothing. I wrote to the news station asking about this and received no reply. If an American committed this crime it would have been a major news story.

We recently had three murders in Dallas in which the suspected perpetrators were either (legal) immigrants or suspected illegal aliens. These facts were given on our local TV news when they first broke the stories, but never mentioned again (to my hearing). I emailed my favorite TV station to point out, as people have here, that when a U.S. citizen commits a violent crime, absolutely every fact of his/her life is given over and over (with pictures), and asking why they did not include information about the suspected murderers immigration status. They replied that the suspects' "immigration status was not germane to the story". This would be true if the information they give about suspects were entirely for public identification purposes before they are caught. However, considering the amount of information which is broadcast now about U.S. citizens accused of crimes, I think it is important that we continue to write and call to protest that it is inequitable when they do not cover non-citizens with the same personal detail as citizens.
