Thread: Ivanka Trump on dad's GOP doubters: 'They're scared'

Ivanka Trump said one of the reasons Republicans and others have been hesitant to support her father's bid for president is because they are afraid of how successful he has been thus far.

"They're scared," Trump told the Detroit Free Press following the GOP nominee's economic speech in Motor City on Monday. "They never thought that he'd be where he is."

The 34-year-old mother of three and businesswoman said it is difficult for her to understand why others do not see her father for the kind man she sees him as. Trump theorized it may be because they expected him to diminish during the primaries, but that has not been the case despite his recent drop in national polls.

"I think there will be many people who will seek to diminish him," she added.

The billionaire businessman will continue to campaign with his unique message and tone, his daughter said, explaining it's the reason he has succeeded thus far.

Yes, they are scared to death he's going to win this election and as President learn all their nasty, dirty secrets and tricks. And because he's not like them, he'll expose it and put an end to these shenanigans. Trump won't play the game of becoming one of them after the election. OH NO, he'll shake it up.

So I suppose in a way he is "dangerous", but not dangerous to the American People or the United States. He's "dangerous" to the people who created this mess and stands ready to blame every single one of them he can find and name.
