James Hodgkinson, Scalise shooting suspect: ‘Time to Destroy Trump & Co.’

James T. Hodgkinson, the 66-year-old man who was taken into custody by police for the shooting at the Alexandria baseball field where Republicans practiced — and where House Minority Whip Steve Scalise was hit by gunfire and injured — was an Illinois resident who hates President Donald Trump and loves socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders. President Trump said the suspect has since died.

His Facebook page includes a banner of Sanders, as well as a profile picture tied to Democratic Socialism.

His profile picture states: “Democratic Socialism explained in 3 words: ‘We the People’ Since 1776.”

And yet — the media, the law enforcement and all the pundits who’ve come forward to discuss this shooting on national television seem ever so stumped about the motivation of this shooter, who happened to fire off 50 or so round at an all-Republican event, after asking a Republican member of Congress if said event was attended by Republicans.

Could it be — just could it? — that the shooter hated Republicans?

After all, Democrats were playing in a field just down the road, at another spot in Alexandria. And after all, a man did indeed ask one Republican member of Congress, Rep. Ron DeSantis, who was leaving the field, if those remaining at the park were Democrats or Republicans — and coincidence of all coincidences, the shooting broke out just three minutes later.

And after all, GOP Rep. Mark Walker of North Carolina did tell NBC News that it seemed “the gunman was there to kill as many Republican members as possible.”

But stumped on the motive, are we?

As Heavy noted, Hodgkinson also wrote in March on social media, “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”

Hodgkinson campaigned for Sanders in Iowa and wrote in August 2016 on Facebook that he wanted “Bernie to Win the White House.”

But law enforcement has not a clue to his motive.

Why would this man think Trump & Co. are "traitors" "destroying our democracy"?

Lets see .... could it be that our "INTEL" community has been telling the American People for close to a year that Trump & Co. colluded with the Russians to "destroy our democracy"? Could it be that James Comey testified under oath that the Russians were our "greatest threat" while at the same time refusing to tell the American People that our President was not under investigation for espionage with the Russians to destroy our democracy, that there was no evidence of collusion nor any reason to suspect there was? Could it be that he tried to imply that Trump & Co. deserved to be investigated for espionage which is why he violated DOJ regulations and leaked a phony "MEMO" to the press to make sure everyone in America knew that he, James Comey, thought Trump could not be trusted, made him feel "uncomfortable", asked Jeff Sessions not to "leave him alone with the President"? Could it be that Comey and his DemoQuacks on these committees have recited this nonsense about Trump and the Trump Campaign and Trump Associates and Trump White House Officials are all traitors conspiring with the Russians to destroy our democracy?

This guy didn't drive all the way to DC from Illinois to shoot up a baseball practice, he went to DC to assassinate the President, because he believes from the allegations by Democrats that our President and all who support him are "traitors" out to "destroy our democracy".

How many John Hodgkinsons are out there because of these false unfounded scurrilous dishonest horrible allegations and suspicions spewed like stinking garbage by our INTEL "leaker", James Comey, our idiot DemoQuacks who would swim through a sewer and sell their first-born for political gain, a totally cowardly FBI with agents and top brass in droves knowing the truth about this scam but sitting there like silent little well-trained zoo monkeys, and an obviously corrupt Department of Justice that refuses orders by the President, accuses Flynn of being blackmailed at the very time Comey is trying to set up a black-mail of Trump with his Dubious Dossier?

It's time for this President and the Republicans in Congress to do their jobs and shut it all down. No more committee investigations of fantasy land and pipe dreams, no more investigations of innocent people because they supported a candidate for President you didn't vote for, no more Special Counsels investigating imaginary crimes.

Shut the Witch Hunt Down.

Mr. President, you must lead on this, you must end it. You must terminate the Special Counsel, invoke Executive Privilege on all executive branch employees, and tell the American People this:

"I am your President, and my job is to protect Americans. False allegations of treason, espionage, collusion with foreign governments, interference in elections, and on and on is dangerous. Many Americans believe the words of their political party, many Americans believe what they hear on the news, and they should be able to believe them. Americans should be able to turn on the news and hear what's going on and if there are allegations of collusion then they assume there is some hard evidence to support those allegations. Americans should be able to believe our government when it says "Russians hacked the DNC" to "interfere in our Democracy" and the next they should hear about it is the arrest of the Russian who hacked the DNC with news of extradition orders for prosecution. But in reality, this is all false, no one is pursuing Russians who hacked the DNC, they're pursuing innocent Trump Supporters who had nothing to do with it falsely accusing them of collusion to "destroy our democracy". This is wrong and this is dangerous, so I'm putting an end to it today. If you want to try to impeach me for it, we'll duke it out in Congress. If you want to try to throw me out in 2020, I'll go peacefully. But until then, I am the President of the United States, I am in charge of the INTEL community, the FBI, the DOJ, the NSA, the DNI, the CIA and all of their "satellites" including Special Counsels, and this will not continue on my watch. It ends now."
