JAMIE DIMON SAYS TRUMP WAS JUST KIDDING ABOUT KICKING 11 MILLION IMMIGRANTS OUT OF THE COUNTRY

Oh, you took Trump at his word?

Since Donald Trump was elected president in November, many people have noticed that a lot of things he said on the campaign trail do not appear to be a top priority anymore.

Taking a hard line on Wall Street has become a mandate to hire everyone from Goldman Sachs.

“Draining the swamp,” we’re now informed, was just a cute campaign slogan.

Of course, everyone running for office, at one time or another, makes promises they don’t always keep, but the extent to which Trump has said one thing prior to November 8 and done another post November 8 is enough to make a person feel like they’re taking crazy pills.

So far, his transition team and supporters have explained the changes of heart by chiding people for taking a man who’s going to be president “literally.” (As opposed to what?) To that end, should 11 million immigrants be worried Trump is going to throw them out of the country upon taking office?

According to Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan C.E.O. and chairman of the Business Roundtable, which is advising Trump on business policy the answer is no, don’t be silly.

“Look, we’re not going to kick 11 million people out.

President-elect Trump is different from candidate Trump. He’s now said that if you break the law, we’re going to deport you. Of the 11 million undocumented, only 800,000 are estimated to have broken the law. By the way, that is the current policy of the United States.

President Obama deported 2.8 million people for breaking the law. The BRT supports immigration. It is a pro-jobs argument.”

Get it? Trump the candidate, who we were not supposed to take literally, was one person, and Trump the president-elect is a totally different one, who we’re now supposed to trust when words exit his mouth.

Of course, on the matter of immigration, the news that the hateful rhetoric he spewed on the campaign trail was just an act not meant to be taken at face-value should be a good thing (unless you voted for him specifically because you want to kick millions of people out of the U.S.).

But despite how various people try to project and rationalize what the hell he actually plans to do on January 20, we really have no idea (even his buddy Newt seems confused).

Instead of trying to guess, we should probably just all go to a Zen place and let it wash over us.

From the article this author is quoting:

You’ve talked quite vocally about education and immigration. How are you going to spearhead those initiatives?

I think one of the greatest disgraces in this country is the fact that in a lot of inner-city schools, 50 percent of the kids don’t graduate high school. And even those kids who graduate are not necessarily job-ready. That’s a crime. That’s America at its absolute worst. We are allowing that to happen, and these kids don’t have the opportunity we all had at one point in life. We have to fix it. It’s not whether something’s free. It’s whether it ends up where you’re properly trained for a job. If you go to Germany, for example, two-thirds of the kids at 15 or 16 go to vocational school. Those vocational schools work with local businesses so the kids get a certificate that leads to a job.

In New York City there’s a school called Aviation High School. Kids travel from all over the city. They’re trained in how to maintain small aircraft, electronics, hydraulics, electrical systems. When they graduate, everyone gets a job—$60,000 a year. You can do that in robotics, coding, accounting, a lot of health-care fields. That’s what we should be doing. It doesn’t mean you can’t go to college. It just means that you get an education that leads to a job.

As for immigration, there’s the Schumer-McCain bill. It allows educated individuals—who mostly went to American schools and got advanced degrees here in science, technology, engineering, and math—to stay. I think we should let them stay and let them build their careers and homes and then have some kind of path to citizenship. And it’s very tough. It takes 15 years, showing you’re a good, law-abiding taxpayer here. You’re a documented immigrant whose path to become a citizen is not behind everyone else’s.

And look, we’re not going to kick 11 million people out. It is a pro-jobs argument.

The fact is, most people, when they say they want to get rid of immigration, it’s not necessarily that they don’t like immigrants. They’re more afraid that the American way of life is changing. So you could be multicultural but still support the American way of life. This is the only nation on the planet that was an idea. It was a vision. It was a value. It was not a tribe. I think it’s good that a lot of people want to make certain that it doesn’t change.

Jamie Dimon is speaking for himself as Chairman of a business lobbying group called BRT, Business Round Table, not Donald Trump or the Trump Administration.

The promise of deporting illegals and no amnesty is certainly why many Trump voters got behind him. In my view, any illegal that is ignored by law enforcement is basically under an amnesty.

If the American public ever believes that Trump turned back on his promises to deport most illegal aliens, he will immediately begin to fall in popularity and strength down eventually lower than Bush went.

Changing direction on illegal immigration is the only way Trump could eventually become worse that Bush and Obama.

In my opinion, those educated here in the United States should not be encouraged to stay. Go home and change your country. Compete and challenge Americans. It can make us strive to do better and to innovate.

Vanity Fair appears to be another agenda driven source, not necessarily news.

Fake news: Vanity Fair editor accuses Trump supporters of booing John Glenn

    DECEMBER 9, 2016
    BY KYLE OLSON

Some people are so consumed with hatred for Donald Trump they’ll do anything and say anything to tear him down.

Even if it results in reporting fake news.

Vanity Fair contributing editor and Newsweek senior writer Kurt Eichenwald took to Twitter on Thursday night to smear Trump supporters, claiming they “booed John Glenn when Trump mentioned his name at today’s rally” in Des Moines, Iowa.

“A real American hero who risked his life 4 us,” he continued. “They booed.”

Eichenwald’s smear was so popular among Trump haters, it received 1,153 retweets — that is, before he deleted it.

Maybe he removed it because in reality, Trump supporters were booing an agitator (paid by the Democratic Party?) who was disrupting Trump’s remarks on John Glenn.

It was such a disturbance, CNN actually split-screened the protester with Trump. Watch: AT LINK.

Eichenwald’s zeal to push fake news to fit his personal political agenda is certainly worthy of an apology, no?
Or does Vanity Fair belong on that list of fake news sources?

I watched that rally and Trump Supporters DID NOT BOO John Glenn, they booed a protestor just like Newmexican's article states. So yes Vanity Fair tweet is definitely fake news, just like their article by Bess Levin, the thread article is fake news, Jamie Dimon was not speaking on behalf of Donald Trump or the Trump Administration about immigration, he was speaking on behalf of the Business Round Table, BRT, pushing their pro-immigration pro-illegal alien agenda.

Since they have been using the figure of 11 million for almost 20 years now, if he does deport 11 million, that's leaves a lot not deported.

Either they have been very busy legalizing, we have many, many more than 11 million.

I believe there are at least 30 million when you count visa overstays.

Yeah, sure. He was just kidding about everything he said. It was all just a big act, a hard sell to get the man what he wanted.

The problem is that people are saying this and he isn't even in office yet.

We've already seen what Trump will do to get what he wants, he works for it. Who knows what he has to do on a day by day basis to build an empire like that, and who knows what he or anyone has to do on a day to day basis to become President.

But he is not even President yet. There is nothing to say yet as far about what he will or will not do in the office. He has never sat in any elected position before.

Let's give him a week or two in place first before we give an audience to any criticism.
