If Obama can get away with creating an unconstitutional program like DACA, I suppose the least Trump can do is figure out a way to continue protecting those enrolled in the program. None of this may matter anyway since Trump has already said he would sign a DACA amnesty bill if it reaches his desk. It's sad that he will keep his promise to those enrolled in DACA ("you have nothing to worry about") but break his promises to us. After all, his promise to us came first. I guess it doesn't really matter to him now that he got our vote.

No, Trump isn't going to revive this work permit program for them. No way he's doing that. He's protecting American Jobs for American Workers. He may sign a bill though. I hope not, but he might. Best to focus energies on defeating the bills in Congress is all I can say.

You can't possibly know exactly what he would do. Of course he can't revive the program, that would even make him look more foolish than he already does. However, I'm sure between him, Kelly, Jared and Ivanks, they can figure out a way to extend the extension or protect them in some other way.

Oh I'm sure you're sure of something, but for the life of me I can't figure out why you or anyone else would be mad, angry or feel betrayed because President Trump ended DACA.

And why they wanted rid of Jeff. trump tied to push him out the door with his public ridiculing. All the shifting, removing people has done nothing but further enhanced the control of deep state. trump's campaign promises are out the window. He is letting the immature, pompous javanka team and kelly/mcmcasters run everything.
I don't like romney, but he was right - trump is a fake. And being a spoiled rich new yorker, he has no qualms about reneging on his word. He is a "so what" guy - his ego thinks he will just form another rally and have the sheep wave the flag (under false pretenses).

Hi Newmexican!
The USCIS website still says they've ended new applications as of September 5, 2017 and won't take any more renewal applications after October 5, 2017.

A thread on here has quoted "a 2yr renewal"....
"if your DACA permit expires between September 5 and March 5, 2018, you can still apply for a two-year renewal by October 5. The officials insist that if Congress doesn’t pass a law within six months, the “Dreamers” will not be instantly deported."Last edited by artist; 09-10-2017 at 11:46 AM.

Yes, as I understand it, the work permits in the system by October 5, the cut-off date for renewals, will have renewals for 2 years. According to JD2's chart he posted that's based on Sessions and Trump's Rescission/Ending of DACA, over 300,000 will expire in 2018, almost 400,000 will expire in 2019, and the last batch of 85,000 will expire by March 5, 2020.
So, regardless of what Congress does, they won't be deported with active work permits unless they fall into the Trump high prioritization of being criminals, multiple misdemeanors, welfare frauds and/or visa-overstays, and there will be some of those. Former DACAs with expired work permits might be deported like any other illegal alien, and rightly so.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan
