I watch Glenn Beck daily and that is not what he is saying.
He is teaching us about the founding fathers and who they were and what were their beliefs.
Many of the founding principles were from these men who were so wanting the freedom of religion, that they risked death going across an ocean to un unknown country, not knowing if they would make the journey, be able to live there, and survive.
Even when they got there they lived for over 140 years under the tyranny of the British Empire.
How do I know? My family begain the very first fabric mill in Mass in 1640 after arriving from England in 1635, which was 141 years prior to my family signing documents against the British and joining George Washingtons army. I am a 8th generation of a 52 year old and 18 year old son, who stood side by side as "revolutionaries" for liberty.
Read The Real George Washington and then complain to me about Beck's show today.

PS - I am an Independent - must be the "revolutionary" in my DNA.

I watch Beck as often as I can. While I don't always agree with him, I always learn something. BTW, I pray for this great country every day.

Way to go cjbl2929!
That is one cool history for your family! Especially since most of mine in this country is from between 1890 to 1910 for when they came over to America "from old country".

It seems like there are successive waves of religious groups that rise to take up the mantle of conservative political ideologies. Fundamentalism did it in the 70's and 80's resulting in the Reagan revolution. Catholics started joining in the bandwagon in the 90's. And now it appears it is the Mormons' turn.
Some of this is good; some not so good."Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. " David
