Lawmakers want gun-owners to be required to have background checks. These are intrusive and yet, lawmakers have plenty to hide and do so quite often!

Levin asks, WHY NOT HAVE BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ELECTED OFFICIALS INSTEAD?

Lawmakers obviously have mental issues, personality disorders, arrests, drug use issues, and plenty of things to hide.

So if I want to own a firearm, I should be subjected to scrutiny, but those that hold the highest offices in the land, those who are responsible for leading the military, handle our treasury, all those people would NOT be subjected to a background check?
