In case you wondering, casino magnate and reality show host Donald Trump would like you to know that yes, he is considering a run for president in 2016. Of course, Trump also publicly flirted with White House bids in 1988, 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012. But now, more than ever, Trump is convinced he can do hugethings for America.

“I think I could do well. I think if I got it I could do a lot of things differently,” Trump told the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Monday. “But I think that the people that are running — and many of them have come to my office, I know many of them — it’s going to be an interesting field, that’s for sure. But we’ll see what happens. I’ll be making a decision fairly quickly.”

When Joe Scarborough interjected by pointing out that we’ve been down this road before, Trump insisted he really means it this time.

For that matter, Trump told Scarborough, he also meant it in 2012, when he cemented his status as Birther in Chief and presented himself as the one guy who could defeat Barack Obama and take on all those “mother****ers” running China. As for all those other times? Eh, sure, that was just trolling.

“I looked at it really only seriously last time,” Trump said. “And I was, you know, in a contractual situation with ‘The Apprentice.’ ‘The Apprentice’ is a big show, two hours every night, it’s a big thing, and I have a contractual obligation that I was unable to break.”

Trump added that he wouldn’t face such a hurdle this time “because ‘The Apprentice’ will be long gone by then. In other words, it’ll be over in about five weeks, so after that, the timing is good.”

Within the next three months, Trump said, he’ll decide whether the sixth time is the charm.
