Ocasio-Cortez Wants A ‘9/11 Style Commission’ To Study Trump Border Policy

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she wants a “9/11 style commission” to investigate President Donald Trump’s policy on the border.
She said the United States had a “lifelong commitment’ to migrant children separated from the parents under the policy, adding that it ‘will take a 9/11-style commission.”
The 29-year-old representative then hit the president on what she was his racist rhetoric against her and others.
“We do not have to acquiesce to the president’s racism, because he is using racism, he is stoking white supremacy, and he is allowing frankly neo-Nazi groups to go off unchecked because that is a key part of rousing his base,” she said at a town hall event in Queens on Saturday.
Republican National Committee spokesperson Liz Harrington hit back at Rep. Ocasio-Cortez in a statement to The New York Post.
“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s divisive rhetoric never ends,’ she said. ‘If the Democrats truly cared about addressing the crisis on the border, they would fix the loopholes in our immigration laws,” she said.
The comments came around a week after the president said that the four progressive representatives should “go back where they came from.”
President Donald Trump triggered many progressives when he told progressive Democrats to go to their “infested places they came from.”
The tweet appeared to be aimed at New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her squad, #Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley and Ilhan Omar.

Does the border need to be fixed?

All of the representatives are American citizens and all, other than Omar, were born in the United States so this made progressives furious.
“So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run.
“Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done.
“These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!” he said, The Hill reported.

Omar was born Mogadishu, Somalia, before coming to the U.S. as a refugee with her family. Pressley was born in Cincinnati, while Tlaib was born in Detroit. Ocasio-Cortez was born in New York.
Pelosi experienced pushback from the group of lawmaker after questioning their influence in an interview with The New York Times and referring to them as “the Squad.”
“All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world,” she said to the Times. “But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”
Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) responded by accusing Pelosi of repeatedly singling out elected women of color.
“When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood,” Ocasio-Cortez told The Washington Post.
Democrats are angered because the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement raids to deport undocumented immigrants is scheduled for Sunday.
The Democrats, including Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, have been giving advice to the migrants on how to evade authorities.
