A & E's persecution of Christians and heterosexuals

A and E has acted in an abusive and unAmerican way by both firing Phil Robertson for his religious beliefs and by unnecessarily taking a political stance that is contrary to the views of many of their viewers! A & E has made it clear they are not truly interested in 'diversity' and are willing to persecute Christians and discriminate against heterosexuals.

The Robertson family should use their fame and wealth to create a new network in America, one that does not persecute Christians.

If we are expected to exercise tolerance as Americans, should that tolerance not also extend to Christians?

The persecution of Christians in media has reached a breaking point IMO, the American people need to awake on this issue for it is freedom of speech, the idea we can no longer express our beliefs is very dangerous, the media which is suppose to honor freedom of speech works daily to tear it down, it would appear they want a third world dictatorship what they do not seem to understand is that a dictator whoever he/she may be could shutdown their voice as well. The lack of knowledge of history in media is astounding to this writer.

GAY A&E STARS NOT SUSPENDED FOR EXPRESSING PREFERENCE FOR 'MAN-A**'

by JOHN NOLTE 19 Dec 2013, 9:26 AM PDT 1398 POST A COMMENT

For some in the left-wing media, the goalposts are starting to move in their anti-Christian jihad against everyone who believes in the Bible. For instance, McKay Coppins of the left-wing BuzzFeed tweeted Thursday that he believes the "Duck Dynasty" uproar isn't about what Phil Robertson believes; it is about the "the actual words that he said."

I'm not sure when the left started to get the vapors over blunt sexual expression, but apparently part of the issue here is the rather blunt way the "Duck Dynasty" patriarch expressed his preference for a woman's vagina over a man's anus.
Well, if that kind of thing is wrong, especially when you are an A&E reality star, why haven't A&E reality stars Chris Morelli and Tad Eaton been suspended for expressing the opposite preference in the same explicit way:
An openly gay couple on A&E's "Storage Wars: New York" is NOT offended by the homophobic comments made by fellow A&E'er and "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson -- telling TMZ, they just feel bad for him ... because man ass beats vagina any day of the week.
Chris Morelli and Tad Eaton tell us, "We could give a s**t what he thinks ... [man ass] is tighter."
As we reported, Phil talked about how a vagina is more desirable than a man's anus, and how homosexuality and bestiality are the same sin.
By the way, because they are tolerant grown-ups, Morelli and Eaton are not offended. They did however mischaracterize what Robertson said.
The "Duck Dynasty" star did not say " gay people won't go to heaven." Robertson was talking about several kinds of behaviors that will keep you out of the Heaven, and not just homosexual behavior. Greed, adultery, bestiality, idolatry, and drunkenness were also on his list -- because those are on the Christian Bible's list.

SARAH PALIN: ‘INTOLERANTS’ BEHIND PHIL ROBERTSON’S SUSPENSION ATTACKING ‘ALL OF US’

Posted on 19 December, 2013 by clyde

    via Breitbart
    by Tony Lee

On Wednesday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin blasted “intolerants” for “hatin’” on Duck Dynasty patriarch and Duck Commander Phil Robertson for expressing his (straight) sexual preference in a magazine interview.
Palin said Robertson’s indefinite suspension from the hit show was an attack on Americans and their increasingly endangered free speech.
“Free speech is an endangered species,” Palin wrote on her Facebook page on Wednesday shortly after the news that Robertson had been indefinitely suspended. “Those ‘intolerants’ hatin’ and taking on the Duck Dynasty patriarch for voicing his personal opinion are taking on all of us.”
In an interview with GQ, Robertson said that “a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus.” Those remarks caused a firestorm, with organizations like GLAAD slamming Robertson even though the group gave liberal actor Alec Baldwin a pass for the homophobic and anti-gay slurs that led to his firing from MSNBC.
“We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty,” A&E said in a statement on Wednesday. “His personal views in no way reflect those of A&E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely.”
Breitbart News Editor-at-Large John Nolte wrote Robertson was explicitly “talking about homosexual sexual behavior, not homosexuals as human beings. That is all the difference in the world.”
“It is quite obvious that Robertson is only guilty of being anti-sin, not anti-gay,” Nolte wrote on Breitbart.com. “You might disagree with Robertson, and you might not like what he or the Christian Bible have to say, but Robertson was as anti-gay as he was anti-heterosexual, and that is the very opposite of bigotry.” Robertson’s full remarks as recorded by GQ were:
“Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong… Sin becomes fine. Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.” Robertson then paraphrased Corinthians from the Bible: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”
And if that wasn’t explicit enough, the “Duck Commander” added: “It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Robertson responded to the firestorm:
I myself am a product of the ’60s; I centered my life around sex, drugs, and rock and roll until I hit rock bottom and accepted Jesus as my Savior. My mission today is to go forth and tell people about why I follow Christ and also what the Bible teaches, and part of that teaching is that women and men are meant to be together. However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other.
The Duck Dynasty family, including patriarch Phil Robertson, hosted Palin in Louisiana nearly two weeks ago for Palin’s book tour. Members of the Robertson family took photos holding copies of Palin’s best-selling blockbuster book, Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas, which highlights American exceptionalism and embraces the role of God and faith in society. Palin’s book points out that the “war on Christmas” is simply the tip of the spear in a greater battle against American exceptionalism. As Breitbart News has reported, those same themes that are under assault in the legacy media and Hollywood have helped make Duck Dynasty one of the most popular television shows in history.
“Happy, happy, happy!” Palin, who has often commented that her kids think the Duck Dynasty family is cooler than she is, wrote on her Facebook page during the visit. “Thanks to the Robertson family and the Duck Commander team for welcoming us to West Monroe, LA!”
Palin also met with Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson at the NRA convention this year and urged Republicans to stand up for life like the Duck Dynasty cast.
Charles Hurt, an editor at the Drudge Report, wrote in his “Nuclear Option” column for Breitbart News that “Phil Robertson and his industrious — not to mention genuinely quick-witted and riotously funny — clan have been around a long time, kept in the obscure headwaters of television programming” because the establishment media cannot stand his family’s industriousness and the fact the Robertsons “have remained faithful to their roots, traditions, and, most importantly, their religion.”
Hurt emphasized that Robertson grew up “in the backwoods of Louisiana and figured out something missing from the marketplace. So he started hand-crafting cedar duck calls in a shed behind his house. Turned out he was right, and the business turned into a family empire. They have made millionaires out of themselves and hired people all over their small town.”
Duck Dynasty has generated record ratings, and Bernie Quigley, a columnist for The Hill, wrote that Palin is the politician who most resonates with the Duck Dynasty nation.

Jon Stewart defends ‘Duck Dynasty’ patriarch

    By Natalie O'Neill

“Daily Show” comedian Jon Stewart defended homophobic “Duck Dynasty” patriarch Phil Robertson in a segment cheering freedom of speech and poking fun at loudmouth TV personalities — like himself.

“I think what the guy said is ignorant but I also have an inclination to support a world where saying ignorant sh*t on television doesn’t get you kicked off that medium,” Stewart said, shrugging his shoulders with a mock-guilty facial expression, on Thursday.

He added, “I guess I stand with the free speech absolutists of Fox News who don’t believe we should pressure people to have to adhere to cultural norms of speech.”

Comedian Stephen Colbert, of “The Colbert Report,” had his own goofy take on the controversy – in which Robertson was suspended from the duck hunting reality show for making anti-gay remarks.

“This is a terrible day for Americans although admittedly a great day for ducks,” Stephen Colbert joked.

But while comedians spoofed the scandal, die-hard fans were not laughing.

A&E Network was blasted with death threats on Thursday from fans angered by its decision to boot Robertson, according to Deadline.com.

The threats frightened network honchos so much, the channel was forced to increase security at its headquarters in Manhattan.

The controversy began earlier this week when Robertson compared homosexuality to bestiality in a GQ interview.

“It seems like, to me, a vagina — as a man — would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me . . . But, hey, sin, it’s not logical,” Robertson, 67, told the mag.

Asked what he finds sinful, he said, “Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there . . . Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.”

His statements sparked outrage, prompting the network to place him on “indefinite hiatus” on Wednesday.

No formal meetings were scheduled on Friday between A&E and the Robertson family.

But the Robertsons hinted it won’t continue to do a show without Phil, saying it “cannot imagine” the program without him.
