    Obama Must Know All

Published Wed, May 29th, 2013 Floyd Brown, Chief Political Analyst

It’s been over 1,000 years since Pope Gregory V was poisoned at just 27 years old. And in that time, there has never been a greater invasion of privacy compared to what Congress has in store for us.

You see, buried deep within the 800-page immigration bill facing Congress right now is a sinister plot. And it doesn’t just affect immigrants – it affects everyone. We can thank my sources for reading deep into the pending Senate bill to learn this.

As it turns out, the immigration bill will give the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) the right to collect biometric data on every American. They will know the measurements of your face, the details of your iris and the shape of your smile.

“It starts to change the relationship between the citizen and state, you do have to get permission to do things,” said Chris Calabrese, a congressional lobbyist. “More fundamentally, it could be the start of keeping a record of all things.”

    Big Brother is Watching

Entombed in the 800 pages of immigration legislation is a mandate to create the innocently-named “photo tool.” In reality, this “photo tool” is a gigantic government database controlled by the DHS. It would assemble the names, ages, Social Security numbers and photos of everybody in the nation with a driver’s license or any other government-issued photo ID.

It would essentially be a de facto national ID scheme.

The senators behind the bill want every employer in the United States to first ID a person using the “photo tool” before they can be considered for employment. Not in the database? Then you won’t be allowed to work.

David Bier, an analyst with the Competitive Enterprise Institute, believes, “The most worrying aspect is that this creates a principle of permission basically to do certain activities and it can be used to restrict activities… It’s like a national ID system without the card.”

And this isn’t the only information the Obama Administration is hoping to collect. Included in the Obamacare legislation is grounds for yet another national database. Through the Affordable Care Act, the government will be able to collect all of your medical records. And the plan is to have all of these databases communicate, sharing information about us in real-time with any government agency worker that wants your information.

What’s more, much of the Obamacare funding is being funneled to the IRS. In the near future, you’ll have to give the IRS details about your health coverage as part of your tax return. See where this is going?

Tax data will be matched with health records which will be matched with biometric records. The holy grail of information management is connected databases. Have cancer or suffered a heart attack? The IRS will know. Applied for a job? The DHS will know. Forget to make an estimated tax payment? It could be matched with your hospital or employment records. In the end, no information will be private from the government.

Could you ever be refused a job because you are delinquent on a student loan? The answer is yes. I recently made acquaintance with a home healthcare practitioner who was not allowed to receive her license because of a student loan delinquency.

Could you be refused a driver’s license because you had cancer? Could you be denied surgery because you are delinquent on your taxes? The answers are all potentially yes… Scary thoughts, indeed.

When an all-powerful government knows everything about you, you’ve got no privacy left. And I‘d contend that when you have no privacy, you have no dignity left either. We’ll all be standing naked before Obama and his hirelings if the government has its way.

    Until next time, I remain…

    Your eyes on the Hill,

    Floyd Brown
