"L.A." NOW STANDS FOR "LOSING AMERICANS"

Statistics just released by the California Department of Finance, and
reported in the L.A. Times, confirm what your eyes have been telling
you: middle-class Americans are fleeing Los Angeles, while
impoverished Mexicans continue to pour in.

Try wrapping your head around these numbers:

AMERICANS FLEE WHILE MEXICANS FLOOD IN
From mid-2001 to mid-2007, if you add up all the Americans who moved
into Los Angeles County, and subtract all the Americans who moved out,
you get a disturbing net figure: 450,024 Americans left.

During that same period, if you add up all the foreigners who moved
into the county, and subtract those who left, you get this net
figure: 523,571 foreigners moved in.

Did you get that? We lost nearly half a million Americans, and gained
more than half a million foreigners. The Department of Finance, by
the way, did not report whether any of the 523,571 foreigners bothered
to come here legally, since, well, only racists care about stuff like
legality, right?

IMPORTING POVERTY
Here are two more numbers that will help you understand why, as long
as we continue to import Mexico's impoverished, we will continue to
fuel the so-called "affordable housing crisis" (the handy pretext for
giving subsidies to millionaire developers):

According to the tax returns filed in 2005, the average income of the
people leaving L.A county was $77,372 per year.

By contrast, the tax returns for those moving into L.A. county during
the same period indicated that their average income was $51,206. And
bear in mind: that figure is based on those people who filed tax
returns, not those who live in the underground, all-cash, no-tax
economy. If we included those people, the figure would presumably
drop even lower.

So the people moving out have incomes that are 51% higher than those
moving in. Repeat: the people leaving have incomes that are 51%
higher than the people moving here. Our income, as a group, is moving
in the wrong direction, and fast.

IMPACT
Why do these numbers matter? They matter because they confirm what
you realize any time to drive through our streets: L.A. is turning
into a third world country. Density is increasing; fewer Americans
live here, and more foreigners; and the population is increasingly low-
income.

That means that, unless we take action, the tax burden on the few
middle-class Americans will continue to rise, as the quality of life
here continues to decline.

But don't get depressed. Just take action. If you haven't done so

We must, however, take action ourselves. No one's going to come save
the city for us. So send money if you haven't already, and tell your
friends to send money if you have.

Population is up thanks to births and foreign immigrants, but rest of U.S. isn't California dreamin' like it was.

California's population continued to grow modestly in the last fiscal year despite a significant exodus of residents to other states, according to a state report released Wednesday.

The annual study by the Department of Finance showed that 89,000 more people moved out of California than moved here from elsewhere in the United States. California's population did grow in fiscal 2007 -- but the growth rested on births and the arrival of more than 200,000 immigrants from other countries.

The shift dovetails with the state's weakening economy and is most likely related, said Howard Roth, chief economist for the Department of Finance.

Those who left, Roth said, were fleeing an economy in which just 5,800 jobs per month were created -- down from more than 20,000 per month the previous year. Jobs were lost in housing, finance, construction and other sectors, and key indicators like the number of automobiles sold were also down, he said.

People who are leaving the state, he said, are probably doing so because they believe they'll do better elsewhere.

"If you're someone in finance and you haven't already been laid off . . . or if you've lost your job here and maybe your house, maybe you're thinking that there are better prospects out there in other states," he said.

The trend toward reduced "domestic migration" -- which began in 2005 and has increased dramatically since -- is a sharp turnaround from nearly a decade of sustained population growth.

While the state lost many residents during the economic downturn of the 1990s, people had been steadily moving to California from other states since 1999.

But once the housing bubble burst, the trend reversed.

The story was repeated in Southern California, where every county except Riverside and San Diego saw a decrease in "domestic migration."

In Los Angeles County alone, nearly 115,000 fewer residents came from other states and California counties than moved to other states and counties. The county ended up with a total increase in population thanks to 91,000 births and an influx of 70,000 residents from foreign countries. (The county now has roughly 10,294,000 residents).

Since 2000, about 500,000 more people have left Los Angeles County than have moved here from other parts of the U.S. and California, the figures show.

Orange County also had a modest increase of about 23,000 people overall, though there was a deficit of about 22,000 residents among those who moved to or from other parts of the U.S. (Orange County's population is 3,098,000). The picture in Ventura County was similar: an increase of 7,700 people overall to a total population of 827,000, but a deficit of 3,100 among people who moved domestically.

Many of those who left Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties moved to the Inland Empire, according to economist Roth. Riverside County, for example, showed a net increase in the number of people moving in from other parts of the state or country, as well as an increase of 61,000 people overall. Still, the county's overall growth rate of 3.3% was slower than the year before, when the population climbed by 4.26%.

The slowdown in Inland Empire growth will probably get worse next year as regional housing sales continue to slow, said John Husing, an economist who studies Inland Empire counties.

The number of houses sold in Riverside and San Bernardino counties in the first quarter of 2007 was about half the number sold in the first quarter of 2006, he said.

"The slowdown in the housing market attacks the fundamental strength of the Inland economy," Husing said. "I personally think we're heading into a recession here."

The report placed the state's population as of July 1 at 37,771,000 people. It added about 438,000 residents in the previous year.

Linda Gage, the state demographer who put together this year's report, said officials started with census figures, and then used such information as school registration, new birth certificates, driver's license applications and tax records to determine how many people have moved to the state and where they came from.

Gage said state's population has been boosted by births. There were 327,000 more births than deaths in California -- and that has helped mask those leaving the state.

The exodus is in some ways similar to the early 1990s, when a national recession, tumbling housing market and massive cutbacks in Southern California's defense industry at the end of the Cold War prompted 1.2 million people to move to other states.

But Roth said the trend should be less severe this time because the state's economic problems -- and image problems -- are not as great.

"It won't be the lasting problem we had in the 1990s," Roth said. "It will go away."

We’re Losing A War We Don’t Even Know We’re In

War has changed through history:

•At one point, soldiers in brightly-colored uniforms conveniently lined up in rows on battlefields like two opposing football teams, facing one another.

•World War II brought the bombing of cities.

•9/11 showed nation-states aren't the only groups that can wage war.


One reason nations lose wars is that they prepare for the last war, not the next war. When the German tanks rolled into Poland in 1939, the Polish army bravely tried to defend their territory -- on horseback.


The United States is perfectly prepared to fight the last war: if any enemy tried to drive tanks across our borders, fly bombers into our airspace, or sail warships into our harbors, we would easily prevail.

Unfortunately, we are in a new kind war that most of us don't even know is underway. It is the most innovative and successful war ever waged in history. And we're losing it, badly.

I'm not talking about the war with Islamic terrorists.

I'm talking about the war with Mexico.

On September 3, 2007, Mexico's President stated, "I have said that Mexico does not stop at its border, that wherever there is a Mexican, there is Mexico."


Mexico's strategy is brilliant. Mexico is effectively taking control of our territory simply by having its citizens walk across our undefended border. Their only "weapon" is shoes. You still think the Maginot Line was dumb? At least the French tried to keep out foreign invaders, and at least the Germans had to go around it.

Although certain gangs of illegal aliens have used violence to engage in "ethnic cleansing" in certain L.A. neighborhoods -- a la Croatia and Darfur -- Mexico's war against us is for the most part non-violent, waged with nothing more than money and words.
Our vulnerability isn't military. Rather, our Achilles' Heel is "political correctness." As a nation, we'd rather silently endure the invasion than subject ourselves to the embarrassment of being called "racist." Can you think of any other nation in history that would be so easily defeated? Defeated by name-calling? Criminy!

Mexico's word-weapon is more effective than any neutron bomb. Remember the neutron bomb? That was the so-called "capitalist" bomb that would kill people through radiation but leave buildings intact. Well, Mexico is taking over without destroying buildings or injuring people.


Indeed, Mexico has effectively managed to get U.S. citizens to "pay tribute" voluntarily. Heck, the ancient Romans at least had to post armies in conquered lands to force locals to render unto Caesar. By contrast, Americans are taxing themselves to pay for education, health care and other services for a huge portion of Mexico's population -- those who have simply walked into our cities, most notably Los Angeles, the "ground zero" of Mexico's attack. For example:


•Forty-one percent of the children in the Los Angeles School District are "English Learners," which basically amounts to a euphemism for "Mexican children." The LAUSD's budget, by the way, is $6.2 billion per year.


•In 2003, Los Angeles County estimated that it spent $350 million per year providing health care to illegal aliens.


•Rather than insisting that Mexicans in this country learn English, or even pay for their own interpreters, Los Angeles County uses taxpayers' money to pay hundreds of interpreters for court proceedings. The interpreters are now on strike because the County "only" offered them $73,000 a year in salary.


Speaking of language, that's another sign of how successful Mexico's war on the United States has been. If you live in L.A., take a short drive in your car -- with the radio on -- and you will see and hear how far gone this city is. If you've lived here for a while, you see the trend in signage: we've gone from English-only signs, to bilingual with Spanish subtitles, to bilingual with English subtitles, and now we have many signs in Spanish only.



Mexico has, moreover, successfully co-opted our local government and media. Collaborators abound, and are ready, willing and able to accommodate Mexico's unarmed army -- our own version of Vichy France. Examples include:



•The City of L.A.'s "Special Order 40" actually prohibits police from investigating violations of our immigration laws. The City recently added a new twist, "Special Order 40 On Wheels," to prevent police from impounding the cars of unlicensed drivers -- which of course in most cases means illegal aliens.



•L.A.'s City Council voted to require city agencies, as well as hotels and motels, to accept Matricula Consular cards as valid ID. Now, who would need to rely on such a card, do you suppose, as opposed to a driver's license or even a valid foreign passport?



•The Tribune Company, which owns The Los Angeles Times, also owns a Spanish-language newspaper called Hoy, and runs many of the two papers' operations jointly. Talk about conflict of interest! How many ads do you think they'd sell in Hoy if the Mexicans here illegally returned to Mexico? Don't expect to read an editorial favoring enforcement of our immigration laws -- ever. And don't expect any coverage, much less favorable coverage, of any candidate for local office who urges enforcement of our immigration laws.





•NBC Universal owns both NBC and the Spanish-language Telemundo network. Same story as with the Los Angeles Times: as Mexico's invasion goes, so go the profits from the Spanish-language division. Conquest is good for business.





•The Mayor of L.A., America's second-largest city, Antonio Villaraigosa, openly sides with illegal aliens rather than with the American citizens he is supposed to represent. He has declared "there are no illegal people" -- then again, he never did manage to pass the bar exam. And when you call the City's 3-1-1 line, not only must you endure his unnecessary bilingual greeting, you must also "press one to continue in English."





Mexico's invading army greatly outnumbers our own U.S. Army -- as well as our Marines, Air Force, Navy and National Guard. Estimates of the number of illegal aliens range between 12 and 20 million. In 2003, we had "only" 2.7 million men and women in active duty and reserve units in all of our armed forces, all over the world. Our troops are thus outnumbered by at least 4.4-to-1, and our troops are scattered all over the globe, protecting everyone but ourselves from foreign invasion.





Mexico's invading army, moreover, sends much of the money it earns here back to the mother country. The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas estimated that Mexican workers sent back about $20 billion in 2005 alone.





So the bad news is we're losing this war, and losing it big-time.





The good news is we can win it, non-violently, by finding our backbone, enforcing our laws, and electing better people to public office.

Having a huge "Fifth Column" right here in the USA doesn't help.What should we do with them? Shave their heads?

I really wish more Americans would wake up, not just about illegal immigration, though thats urgent, but also our whole immigration system, which based on origin and sponsorship has no limits.

We will not have steady immigration, but exponentially growing immigration mostly from third world countries.

Unfortunately I dont know how to wake people up who are so PC they dont think logically at all anymore.

This country is worth saving.
