A skateboard was used by a teenager to assault a man on Market Street, near the intersection of Kearny Street in San Francisco on Sunday.











Authorities on Monday were investigating a hate crime against a white man in San Francisco after a teenager allegedly beat him with a skateboard and made racial statements.

The incident occurred about 2:30 p.m. Sunday on the 700 block of Market Street, near the intersection of Kearny Street, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

A man, between the age of 17 and 19, struck a 22-year-old white man with a skateboard and made racist comments toward the victim, police said.
Authorities identified the assailant as Latino, but the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
No arrests were made.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Woman hit in face with skateboard at Embarcadero BART station

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) - Authorities say a woman was reportedly hit in the face with a skateboard in broad daylight at the Embarcadero BART station Saturday.

The woman, who suffered minor injuries, reported the incident to police just after 12:30 p.m.
According to officials, after the woman was hit in the face, a second suspect "tried to batter her."
The first suspect is described as a black man between 19 and 20-years-old, 5'7", medium build, light complexion, with short dark hair. He was wearing a black puffy jacket.
The second suspect is described as a Hispanic boy in his late teens, 5'4", skinny build. He was wearing a baseball cap, white shirt, blue hooded jack, and blue jeans.
