Hell yeah, i hate the fact that most take these classes called ESL for English as a second language at Tax payers expense! Hell NO! If they are going to come here they need to assimulate, not us adapt to them!

Amen to that! But Charles already said that! Well, double tripe quadruple AMEN to adapting and assimilating. And that means no more throwing used diapers out the window onto the supermarket parking lot .. yep .. I saw you. Don't you know that's nasty??? Don't do that if you're in my country .. legally or illegally! There are trash cans for that type of thing .. please use them .. the parking lot is not a dump.

In Nebraska, RIGHT in our constitution, it lists:

CI-27
English language to be official.

The English language is hereby declared to be the
official language of this state, and all official proceedings,
records and publications shall be in such language, and the
common school branches shall be taught in said language in
public, private, denominational and parochial schools.

Note, there are NO annotations, thus that is "supposed" to be the law of the land. However, ESL is huge in certain parts of the state. Just because there are laws on the books, does NOT mean anyone does anything about it. However, this is one area where the state needs to be sued.

It WOULD be nice to see English be officially adopted as a national language also.
