(I was browsing the MMHQ website and I came upon this post ) from Owlhoot (sounds like he is a Paramedic). It was so compelling, I wanted to post it for our members. Also, please read the responses to Owlhoot.

This week began and ended for me with two mass casualty wrecks. The first one was right in front of my house. There were 4 men, all Hispanics inside the first vehicle, and one in the other. Both vehicles were totalled. The passengers in that wreck came out of it fairly well. The lone occupant of the first truck took a pretty good hit from the air bag and was knocked unconscious, but as far as we could tell had no broken bones. He did fine and was soon released from the ER after we transported him. A passenger in the other vehicle had shoulder pain and was likewise transported. There were other people in the truck full of Hispanics but none wanted treatment. We never found the driver. He was at fault in the accident: he made a left turn into oncoming traffic, so close in fact that the other truck never had a chance to even apply the brakes.

The second accident was last night. A single vehicle roll over with 5 Hispanic individuals inside. None spoke English.... not that it mattered. The person we transported was in critical condition. He took a very hard hit to the head and was already comatose and having difficulty breathing when we arrived on scene. About all I can say is that we kept him alive on the way to the ER. At the ER, they x-rayed and quickly determined that all his bones (at least where it counted) were intact... no fractures. He was bleeding profusely from the head, but there was no fracture. All his life threatening symptoms were from brain injury. He suffered a massive concussion. I was watching the monitor when he went into arrest. We did CPR for a while and actually brought him back, but he only lasted another 10-15 minutes before going into arrest again. We did CPR again, but finally the ER Doctor called it. The man died.

I have been on a lot of mass casualty wrecks here in Southern Utah, and they ALL have one thing in common: they ALL involve Hispanic individuals (mostly men). This isn't just our department. It is every department in the whole area experiencing this. We can continue to provide the best level of care available for the area, but still we come up short for a number of reasons.
First, they don't know how to drive safely. Second, they rarely wear seat belts, and rarely follow the traffic laws adequately. Third, they rarely have insurance. Fifth, they tend to car pool heavily. This ends up as a disaster when all these factors come together in a wreck. Then the problem is compounded when we have to scramble to find an interpreter. I guess I am just venting, but I am mad. That guy didn't have to die. He died because our government is failing us. They are failing to ensure that those who cross our borders know how to drive our roads before issuing them a license. They are failing to ensure that they drive with adequate insurance. They are failing to ensure that they are here legally and have a right to operate a motor vehicle on the highway in the first place. The PC crowd is killing Hispanics with false compassion.

Take a good look at it folks. This is what you are going to see more of if and when the NAFTA superhighway opens up for Mexican trucking. Up till now, trucking is one of the safest and most accident free industries around. Mile for mile, vehicle for vehicle, our truckers are the safest drivers on the road. Wait until you see what our Mexican drivers do for our highways.

The ER doc pronounced the man dead of massive head trauma. I think he died of PC.

Another thing that makes me angry about this is the fact, that Americans have to pay the bill! Thank you for the job that you do. Keep us posted as it will get worse and worse and soon, one of our family members will get hurt, and I'm sure some have already had this happen.

Your story is all too frequent in southern California. After teaching English to adults from several countries, but primarily Mexico, for six years in a primarily Hispanic area, I've heard stories from students about their experiences driving without licenses and insurance. But you left out the culturally-sanctioned practice of drunk-driving. My students joked about being plastered and barely getting home, on top of working long hours which further decreased their ability to operate a motor vehicle. It's really frightening. Fortunately I was transferred to a different campus this semester where the students are majority Asian, another problem but they don't drive drunk and are usually insured and licensed in their Mercedes and Porches.

My main concern in writing today is related to other criminal activity by illegal residents. Three weeks ago at 5:45 a.m. I entered the kitchen to see a man staring in my window. He ducked and reappeared. As I grabbed the phone to call the police I peeked down the stairs to see if he was at the bottom so I could ID him for the police while his back was toward me. I yelled, "Get out of here!" so he'd turn around and to awaken the neighbors; he was a young gang member carrying a large chain. He swore at me and I swore back. The police didn't even look around the neighborhood. I lost a day of work, unpaid, dealing with the police and going to the gun store to arm myself. A week later I took another day off after awakening every two hours every night, fearful that he'd come back. I took a gun safety class and self-defense, scheduled a neighborhood watch meeting with the police. My question is who is going to reimburse me for the almost $1000 I spent and can't afford to protect myself from a jerk who shouldn't even be here? Oh, and the same guy, based on descriptions, approached a 9 yr. old girl next door. The police couldn't do anything because he didn't specifically say, "Come here.", although he followed the girl to her door and the mom saw him. She's an Army sergeant who teaches middle school high-risk gang kids and verified that he's a cholo. She, too, has missed work from lack of sleep, wondering if the illegal guy is going to return to her bedroom window. Deport, deport, deport! We must insure that illegal residents return to their countries of origin and come back when they can play by the rules.

This stuff gives me ideas that I thought would never be there. And they are all on the Jack Bauer agenda! Be careful and a policeman told me once, pull them back into your house if you have to shoot them. Don't let them fall outside, or they can come back and say you went out to shoot them. Find out what the law is now, then follow it if you need to.

I think a LOT of things have died of PC. Our country and our culture are in the final stages now unless something can be done.

Some of our children will die in our schools because of being exposed to disease our country has not seen for decades- I do think that american children have value and the next time you hear a politician talk about being 'humane' that does not means at the cost of our kids who seem to have less value to them that illegal immigrants.
