Liberals Are Encouraging Electors To Deviate From The Will Of The People And Choose Hillary Clinton Instead

Donald Trump won fair and square. He reached the magic number. 270.

Believe it or not, most people have no idea how the electoral college works or why we even use it. Here’s a recap. The Founders were afraid of monarchy and unfettered democracy. It’s emotional and self-destructive. A national popular vote would mean that big, populated areas (New York, California, South Florida, etc.) would consistently determine the direction of the entire country. That would completely undermine our federalist system of each state having a proportional say. But the popular vote DOES win on the state level. The candidate who wins the popular vote in each state gets the electoral votes. The 50 states are supposed to act as 50 individual experiments. Each state selects who it wants as president, and that person gets the electoral votes (which is based on the state’s population). A national popular vote screws over small states. That’s not how a Constitutional Republic operates. The electoral college guards against emotional sheep mentality and retains the power of each state. It’s a safeguard against mob rule.

Now, the electors will meet in their respective state capitals Dec. 19. They’re pledged to the popular vote of their respective states. However, there’s nothing that forces them to do this. Electors who refuse to go along with the popular vote of their state are called “faithless electors.” Each state has different laws on the books as far as consequences (a number of states ban the practice altogether). But a single “faithless elector” has never determined a presidential election. However, liberals are trying to change that.

There’s a Change.org petition floating around, encouraging electors to cast their ballots for Hillary Clinton instead of Donald Trump. It already has 471,560 signatures. It reads–

On December 19, the Electors of the Electoral College will cast their ballots. If they all vote the way their states voted, Donald Trump will win. However, they can vote for Hillary Clinton if they choose. Even in states where that is not allowed, their vote would still be counted, they would simply pay a small fine – which we can be sure Clinton supporters will be glad to pay!
We are calling on the Electors to ignore their states’ votes and cast their ballots for Secretary Clinton. Why?
Mr. Trump is unfit to serve. His scapegoating of so many Americans, and his impulsivity, bullying, lying, admitted history of sexual assault, and utter lack of experience make him a danger to the Republic.
Secretary Clinton WON THE POPULAR VOTE and should be President.
Hillary won the popular vote. The only reason Trump “won” is because of the Electoral College.
But the Electoral College can actually give the White House to either candidate. So why not use this most undemocratic of our institutions to ensure a democratic result?
SHE WON THE POPULAR VOTE.
There is no reason Trump should be President.
“It’s the ‘People’s Will'”
No. She won the popular vote.
“Our system of government under our Constitution says he wins”
No. Our Constitution says the Electors choose.
“Too many states prohibit ‘Faithless Electors'”
24 states bind electors. If electors vote against their party, they usually pay a fine. And people get mad. But they can vote however they want and there is no legal means to stop them in most states.

Trump won. There’s a reason we have the electoral college.

It's a terrible thing what's going on. Sore losers. Bad sports. No respect for our system.

That is not going to happen. Get over it the majority has spoken.

How many of Clinton's votes were cast by illegals, dead people and cheater's. I do not believe she got the LEGAL popular vote.
