Linda Chavez is so full of it. On C-span she uses the same old rhetoric.
We do no need unskilled labor from Mexico. we have plenty of unskilled workers here. There are many American that do not go on to college but seek those unskilled jobs.
The fact is the more Illegals that come over, the more they need for supply to meet their demands.

Case in point; if there are 5,000 people in a city they will supply the needs they demand. But if it grows to 50,000, with Illegals, there will be a need to provide more to meet their demand and there is a never ending cycle. More workers is only needed if the population grows. With the additional 100,000 plus Illegals in our city has came the supper stores and have put out of business the mom and pop businesses. Without the increase the mom and pop businesses would still be in business. My grandchildren has never seen a mom and pop store.

The rhetoric that price of lettuce will go up is nonsense. (Now $1.99 at store in Reno) the more grown is only needed if more is needed. The growth is only making business wealthy. Fact, price of produce has gone up because of demand for more to feed the 20million additional Illegals.
Illegals should stay in Mexico protest or even revolt to make thing better for the people. With Mexicans coming here it is only further hurting Mexico. and it’s people and we are abetting the problem by letting Illegals come over and on a path to bought citizenship. It is not to the advantage to the American people to have the increase of more poor. Mexico is a very wealthy country capable of caring for it’s people. The problem is only a few benefit and that need to be change and only can be done by it’s people. We are going to destroy Mexico and at the same time destroy America and it is certain to happen.

I saw that too. I tried to call in and when I finally got through it rang so many times it disconnected me. Did you see the part about her hired help being illegal? I was living in the Washington area at the time that happened, it was a big stink. Notice she said that the woman was not domestic help but never admitted she was harboring an illegal alien?

I don't know about y'all, but I rarely eat lettuce and I'm not going to give up my country for a privilege. I bought lettuce and tomatoe seeds the other day, and hopefully I can get a garden dug up.

And I agree with the supply and demand too. That is also a big factor in the price of gasoline in this country. We've got too many non-Americans demanding fuel -- decrease the demand by illegals and the price of gas just might go down

    Who is in control?

You gotta love the part where she justified the use of fraudulent social security numbers by her illegal bretheren. She conveniently forgot to mention that ssn's can be cross checked through the social security administration and that there are businesses who are doing this. It is voluntary but can be mandatory if El Presidente Bush signs an executive order. We know this will never be done as this would imply care on the part of this joke of an administration for American citizens.

    Yes, it is.

Lou Dobbs showed a study that if the average wage of farmworkers was raised 40%, the total food cost for an American family would rise about $10.00 per year.

That's because most of the cost of our food doesn't go to the farmer growing it, but to all the middle men who handle it before we buy it at retail.

Linda Chavez has been factually challanged for years, but that never stops her from spouting off.
It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

Linda is as clueless as they come.

Her radio show in D.C. was canceled recently.

    Guess what format replaced it?

    That's right, Todo Espanol!

I stopped for gas in Cool Springs TN. A white pickup with windows tinted so dark you couldn't see in pulled up a couple of pumps over. This was not a crew cab or even a cab and a half. It was one with enough cab for a childs jumpseat. Eleven brown people climbed out of that truck. I guess they were actually conserving fuel by not using 2 1/2 trucks? Maybe we should get the EPA to rate mileage on vehicles with eleven occupants?
These guys charged their gas to a local construction company. I didn't hear the name clearly, and as always, there was no name on the truck.
