Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook made the Sunday show rounds to vaguely defend his boss on the Clinton Foundation scandals tearing away at the embattled Democrat’s campaign.

Though he remained characteristically guarded, Mook slipped at one point while trying to pivot to Donald Trump.

“Trump hasn’t released a serious health letter yet,” Mook said.

This is not the line of attack the Clinton campaign wants to go with.

Photographs of Hillary Clinton being helped up a flight of stairs in South Carolina recently set the Internet on fire. Though Clinton’s doctor Lisa Bardack released a perfunctory letter in 2015 describing Clinton as healthy, most voters want her to make a full disclosure of her health records. Multiple Twitter hashtags — #HillarysHealth, #HillarysStools, for example — became dominant trends on the social network.

Clinton is still taking strong medications, such as the blood thinner Coumadin, after she suffered a blood clot and concussion. Dr. Drew Pinsky described her drug regimen as “1950s-level care” on his radio show this week. Clinton frequently leans against stools on stage at her campaign speeches and she admitted that she was exhausted by the end of the Democratic convention in Philadelphia — even though, as far as this reporter could tell, she was just sitting in her hotel the entire time until she gave her acceptance speech to scattered boos.

Was Dr. Drew getting too close to the truth in the growing controversy about Hillary’s health?

With the mainstream media having a field day coming up with psychodrama reasons to attack Republican nominee Donald Trump and even question his sanity, an interview with one of the country’s most popular celebrity physicians is getting the media blackout treatment.

Why? Because it poked at a sore spot for Democrats and raised some serious medical concerns about the woman who could be the next president.

In an interview this week on KABC’s “McIntyre in the Morning” that appears to have been removed from the station’s website — without explanation — Dr. Drew Pinsky, a practicing physician, television host and author, outlined a series of questions about Hillary Clinton’s health and health care, any one of which would be enough to have the media in a frenzy if they’d involved Trump and his campaign.

The interview seemed clearly set up for Pinsky to cast doubt on questions about Hillary’s fitness for the Oval Office, but Pinsky ended up raising questions of his own.

“I’m very concerned about people – journalists and people with no medical training – even discussing this issue,” he said. “But the fact is, she released her medical records some time ago.”

Pinsky said those records show Clinton being treated for problems with blood clots, but he added that his bigger concern was the quality of her health care, rather than her health itself. The drug she’s been prescribed, according to the records, Pinsky said, went out of fashion in the 1960s.

“Certainly, a presidential candidate would get one of the new anti-coagulants,” he observed.

“Then she falls and hits her head and as a complication of that, has something called a transverse sinus thrombosis.

This is an exceedingly rare clot, I’ve only seen in my career … It essentially guarantees somebody has something wrong with their coagulation system.

“What is going on with her health care? It’s bizarre. Maybe they have reasons, but at a distance, it’s bizarre.”

(Actually, what’s really bizarre is that the interview was the doctor has apparently been scrubbed from the website without explanation. The Point has emailed KABC for comment.)

Obviously, analyzing any person’s physical or mental health based on surface evidence is a tricky proposition – but that rarely stops liberals from doing it when it involves smearing a Republican candidate. (Arizona Sen. John McCain’s health was routinely compared, unfavorably, to the youthful Barack Obama’s during the 2008 campaign, for instance.)

But what makes Pinsky’s analysis particularly noteworthy is that he prefaced it with a reference to a New York Times “Science Times” article this week that basically called for an end to the unwritten rule enjoining psychiatrists and psychologists from “diagnosing” a political candidate based solely on media reports.

It’s called the “Goldwater Rule,” linked to a particularly shameful episode from the 1964 election when 1,000 mental health experts signed an opinion declaring Republican candidate Sen. Barry Goldwater unfit for office based solely on what was reported about him in the media of the day.

As The Times noted, the rule hasn’t stopped liberal mental health “experts” from weighing in on Trump. And as NewsBusters reported, CNN’s Don Lemon recently badgered Pinsky himself to declare Trump to be mentally unstable – without success.

So the health of presidential candidates iis air game – by the liberals’ own rules. And the liberals’ own rules make Hillary look a lot worse than armchair “psychoanalysis” by a Trump-hating media.

Pinsky acknowledged the inherent problems with a medical opinion from afar, but said he considered his questions about Hillary’s physical health to be sound.

“There’s a difference between quote ‘psychoanalyzing somebody’ and looking at medical symptoms as a result of people’s behavior,” he said.

And he might have been getting too close to the truth.

For the record, there is nothing wrong or harmful about taking Coumadin. This has no impact on her at all. Millions of Americans are on blood-thinners to prevent blood clots that can lead to strokes. Yes, it's a 1950's drug, very good and effective drug, but it thins your blood and the only risk is bleeding, so you have to have monthly blood tests, there's a device you can buy to test it yourself. Several members of my family have been on this drug, for decades and nothing wrong with that.

CNN spin-off HLN announced this week the cancellation of Dr. Drew Pinsky’s eponymous program, and some suspected that Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had orchestrated this sudden removal of the board-certified medicine specialist and TV personality from the public sphere.

“Dr. Drew and I have mutually agreed to air the final episode his show on September 22,” CNN vice president Ken Jautz, who managed HLN, explained in a statement.

The network vice president went on to praise Pinsky for his “creative shows,” “hard work” and “distinctive programming,” but stopped short of revealing the exact reason for the show’s cancellation.

This in turn set off a flurry of conspiracy theories, the most popular one being that Jautz purposefully cancelled Pinsky’s program to punish him for having spoken out about Democrat presidential candidate and career criminal Hillary Clinton’s health last week.

During an interview with a Los Angeles radio news station on Aug. 16, Pinsky said that after after he and friend Dr. Robert Huizenga evaluated Clinton’s available medical records, they became “gravely concerned not just about her health, but her health care.”

“Both of us concluded that if we were providing the care that she was receiving, we’d be ashamed to show up in a doctor’s lounge,” he claimed.

And now, all of a sudden, Pinsky is without his longtime TV show … and the reason for this sudden loss remained as elusive as President Barack Obama’s college transcripts.
Many wondered whether CNN’s unconcealed support for the Democrat candidate — there was a reason many referred to it as the “Clinton News Network” — played a role in the show’s cancellation. Some even thought that perhaps Clinton had herself orchestrated the cancellation.

We may never know the real answer, but there is one thing we know for sure: There is very little Hillary Clinton and the Democrats won’t do to make sure Donald Trump doesn’t win the White House in November.
