Sorry about the TIME Problem with the forum

    Forum Users:

We apologize for the time problem with forum posts. They have been off and we can't seem to get the software fixed at this time. The posting time is supposed to be set to GMT and then you are supposed to adjust your time. That is not working and many of the post times are off by 6, 8, or 10+ hours. Please disregard this problem as best you can.

There is a fix but each member has to apply it individually.

We have tried that, but the settings change for some users when the site is backed up. It is true that many users have incorrect settings showing wrong posting times because they have not set them correctly. Others seem to reset during the backups.

The ALIPAC screen name is used by four different people and it has shifted several times. Sometimes the baseline time changes.

It is our hope that an upgrade will remove this bug from the system. We have received many notifications about this problem over the past few months.

Please hold off on further e-mail notices about this problem.

Any fixes worked out on that long link thing too? Thats more annoying than the time issue has been. I did some experimenting with it and it word wraps dynamic links but not others for some reason.

I just ignore the time issue.. but that is getting really annoying

If you're in CST and I think Missouri is, set your time in your profile settings to GMT -6. Works for me.

EDIT: My pc clock says 11:34 and that's a minute or two either side of the time of this post. So it works for me.

This is a test of the ALIPAC GMT posting system. I repeat, this is only a test.

The time showed up correct in my preview.

Got you at 11:40 so you are "spot on." Baaa hahahahahaha!

What are we to do if this becomes a real alert and not a test?????

What is your setting in your profile. GMT minus ?????

If this was not a test, you would be instructed on where to go and what to do.

I am at GMT -8hrs. It took me a few seconds to figure it out. I hadn't used GMT since I was in the Corps.
