    Roger asks McCain about immigration.

McCain tells the canned response about securing the Border First, temp worker program and bla, bla, bla.

McCain then adds that the securing the border first will be done with a stand alone bill.

Roger asks about federal government getting hard on businesses that hire illegals.

McCain says that employers have a tough time figuring out who has a fake social card and who doesn't.

Just tuned in but missed the part about illegal immigration.

Did Hedgecock ask tough, specific follow ups about illegal immigrants etc. or did he let McCain skate?

    Roger is pimping McCain.

I wanted to make a comment about McCain hispandering in Chicago, and the call screaner is saying that McCain did not say that.

Roger is now saying that if McCain secures the border, then amnesty will not be a bad idea.

If you missed the interview, check in this link after the end of the hour for a podcast of Roger and McCain talking about energy and immigration.

    It's not a bad idea - it's a HORRIBLE idea.

Roger Hedgecock is pro-McCain now. Sad but true.

If you don't believe me, listen to the podcast.

I don't understand why radio talk show hosts get some sort of orgasms when presidential candidates are on their show and then their ideals are out the window.

You will all soon be hearing Roger say that McCain won him over and that he is our man. That securing the border FIRST, and a compromise is what we need.

Before I comment on this further, I'll listen to the podcast which I don't think has been posted yet.

My general comment though is that the border must be secured PERIOD, (a process that will take years to place the proper infrastructure in place and to prove to the American people that the govt is sincere about this), that's why I'm suspicious when I hear hear pols say they they will "secure the border first."

It's painfully obvious that should McCain be elected, he will chomping at the bit for any figleaf of political cover to claim that the border is "secured" so he can move onto his mass amnesty plans as soon as he can (which will likely have the effect of dismantling any further border security as the next wave of illegal immigrants will be on the way).

p.s. Terry Anderson fills in for Roger occassionally so maybe we should ask him for his thoughts on this.
