The silver lining in a McCain ticket

This is a sad day for us that our nemesis Mc Cain is now the Republican front-runner. My gut reaction is "No matter what we do Americans just don't get it !".

I see a silver lining though. Mitt romney is our choice in the Republican party, but do we really trust him? Was he ever our first choice ?

NO...

If it is a race between HIllary and Mc Cain we have no choices, and we loose either way. Lets take a closer look at these candidates, how are they viewed in their respective parties. They both carry allot of annamosity and dislike. I have a feeling 25% of the Republicans would never under any circumstances vote for McCain. Hillary also is not liked by many within her party, and is not expected to get much from cross over Republicans. The winner of this is the Hispanic bloc, they win either with Hillary or Mc Cain. Loyality to either candidate is weak, party loyalty in general is also weak.

The Silver lining in all of this in my humble opinion is that this is the golden opportunity for independants. Neither the Republicans or Democrats deserve our vote or have the interest of Americans in mind. Both Hillary and McCain are weak within their over-all popularity. If there was an independant run of Lou Dobbs to draw from Republicans and Bloomberg to draw from Democrats, There could be new potential to get what we really need. I truely hope Lou Dobbs is considering throwing his hat in the ring.
My other gut reaction is that there are people out there who can see the opportunity, and are willing to capitalize on it. I hope I am correct.

In Pat Buchanan's State of Emergency, he quoted a Rasmussen poll taken right after the May 06 marches. Its results showed that an independent who put border security as their top priority ran he/she would beat the Republican and run even with the Democrat.

I would love for Lou to run. He could take from Republican voters and Democrats alike.
Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.

See you at the signing!!

The McCain win today might push Lou to run.

I know I heard that among republicans in California, Guiliani was always number one. I do wonder who they'll favor now. Honestly I know of NO ONE that likes McCain. Granted I live in a conservative area,on the other hand those "more liberal" republicans may dislike McCain for his stance on Iraq. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

The latest #s I saw showed that Rudy had fallen off considerably....to about 12% I think. McCain was leading by 2 points over Romney. Yet, 40% of California Republican primary voters put immigration at the top of their concerns. No other issue was close.

Figure that one out

Has it crossed anyone's mind, other than mine, that Lindsey Graham is very close to McCain and might be on his list for Vice President should McCain become the Republican Nominee. That would really be a lose-lose ticket for America.
